In honor of dads everywhere (even Jessica and Ashlee’s dad, Papa Joe Simpson), I thought it might be nice to do another giveaway.
I’ve a nice little book called My Dad, My Hero to give to one lucky Jess and Ashlee reader. The book is a short collection of quotes for dads, and makes a lovely gift for Father’s Day.

Never ever argue in front of your children. I HATE when parents drag their kids into it. Never leave them on a bad note-send them to school, bed whatever, on a positive note, not with-”I’m mad at you” hanging over their head. Just spend time with them. Grab their hand and take a long walk.
Communicate with them.
The best thing a dad can do for their children is kiss them goodnight every night because you never know what the next day will hold.
I would give this to my grandfather. He has been the father figure in my life.

To tell their kids that they love them no matter what, and to show that they love them and spend time with them.
no matter what a child does or how much trouble his kids get into NEVER take away time spent with your children. No matter what they have done wrong time with a loved one should never be taken away as punishment, after all time is all we really have
One word – Time
Sit them on his lap and tell them great stories of his childhood. I remember those days, wish I still had them.
Love them, protect them, spend time with them, provide a positive example … and that’s just the start. Thanks to my Dad for doing all of those things.
A dad should read to them and tuck them in at night.
