Last night’s episode of Grey’s Anatomy, “Crash into Me Part 2″ was thoroughly enjoyable! It had less George/Izzie, McDreamy/Meredith and all the other lovers drama and more medical drama. Not that I mind the lovers drama (it’s why I watch the show!), but I also want some medical drama, which they gave us plenty of that in this episode.
The Relationships
As far as the relationships in this episode goes, they all pretty much went kaput! George and Izzie realized their timing is off. They ended it with Izzie saying, “So, maybe someday this could work” and George saying, “Yeah, someday”. Smart move. The whole thing was weird to me anyway.
So, now onto the next “relationship”, if you can even call it that, between Meredith and Derek appears to definitely be over. So over, because Derek kissed another girl and he totally enjoyed it! He had this look on his face like ” So this is what I’ve been missing?!” Who’d he kiss? Rose. Yep, Rose. I knew we hadn’t seen the last of her. So, Derek kisses Rose, Derek enjoys the kiss and then Derek is approached by Meredith who tells him, “I don’t want you dating other girls.” A little to late there Meredith. He’s dealt with your drama laden life far too long and he appears to be ready to move on!

Okay, let’s talk about Alex. Oh that Alex. He is definitely the less complicated, say-it-like-it-is, I-could-care-less-what-you-think of the bunch. I just love him, even if he is a total jerk! So, Rebecca/Ava was up in the gallery watching him in surgery. Sloan looks up and says, “Hey that’s my face”, talking about Ava, and Alex acts like he doesn’t know what he’s talking about. Needless to say he was a little distracted by her presence and he ended up getting suspended for a week. They started getting all hot and heavy and Alex said, “You’re not here to talk”. Well duh! He ends up telling her that he’s “screwing” as he put it, that Lexie girl that she was up in the gallery with. So, where does this leave Alex in this little love triangle? Who the heck knows?! I think that this means Ava is gone for good, but I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
Miranda and Tucker are obviously having major problems. He waited and waited and waited on her while she was in surgery. She kept sending George to communicate with her husband that she would be “just a few more minutes” and finally Tucker just didn’t buy it. George tried to explain that she was saving a life and Tucker was not impressed. I’ve heard we’ll be looking into their loves a bit more in the next episode.
Well, we got to see Seth Green in this episode. It was great to Lexie take charge, she was an emotional wreck albeit,but she did a great job. Does she have what it takes to be a doctor? I think so. I think we’ll see her toughen up and really start to shine. Heck, Christina told her she did a great job, even after they ended up losing Seth Green’s character. That says something. Lexie witnessed how unfair situations can be when it comes to hospitals and people’s lives. She said that it was the hospital’s fault that they lost him, that they weren’t prepared. Christina told her in her unemotional way, that that’s the way it goes and they still save more than they lose.
Lexie then went on to tell her that she has no one. Poor girl. So, Christina brings her home to hang out with her and Meredith. When Christina walks in with Lexie, Meredith gives her a “look” and Christina says, “She has no one”. I knew Christina had a heart. They end the night with some drinking and dancing. George and Izzie walk down stairs and join in. So that’s what I need to do at the end of a rough day! Dance! I’ll have to remember that because it looked like fun.
So it ends with George, Izzie, Meredith, Christina and Lexie dancing. Sloan, Callie and Hahn head to Joe’s for a drink, even though they all seem to despise each other and where is Derek? Hmmmmm….kissing a Rose maybe?
I seriously (we haven’t heard that word in awhile) can not wait until the next episode “Lay Your Hands on me“, which airs December 13th. And yes, this is the last filmed episode. Much to my dismay. What the heck am I going to do on Thursday nights at 9? I’m completely bummed.
So, which relationship do you think will be saved? Any of them?
Unfortunately, the final episode “Lay Your Hands On Me” doesn’t air until 2008. “Crash Into Me, Part 2″ was a great episode except for that whole Derek kissing Rose thing….UGH!!! I had to turn away because seeing Derek ENJOY kissing Rose was too much. He hasn’t even kissed Meredith like that since the season premier!! They have to drop the Rose storyline really quick!!!! Get Meredith and Derek back together!!!!!
i dont think that derek enjoys the kissing .. i think he feels guilty after that becauce of the way he’s throwing away the towel.. he isnt a mc dreamy anymore
Oh bummer! You’re right Cassandra. ‘08?? That’s just torture! I want Meredith and Derek back together too. She just needs to chill out and enjoy that she has such a great man! She gets freaked out too easy. Hello? It’s Mcdreamy! I think she’s realizing she better snatch him up before someone else does.

I was NOT happy w/ that. But, the episode was great. I will very upset after the next one airs because that is it for awhile.
He kissed Rose way better than he’s kissed Meredith recently. Remember when Derek and Meredith used to have these great kisses? In the last few episodes, the kisses seemed really forced. It seemed like he enjoyed the “Rose kiss” a little too much. What about his reaction when Meredith finally says, “I don’t want you to date anyone else.” It seemed like he was going to tell her that things changed for him…. I’m so not looking forward to that!!!!
I love them together – Derek and Rose… Great chemistry!!!
Rose and derek had no chemistry! he looked lik he regretted it and was filled with guilt immediately after e heard rose say shes “a flawed person” i think he just liked the attention and got caught up in the moment of saving a life.
But i agreewith J, he isnt Mcdreamy anymore. He doesnt say one thing to Mer (“Your the love of my life” and that he’ll wait and “i want to marry you”… ring any bells derek?!) and then go and kiss another woman six episodes later. Thats not waiting very long…
I can’t wait to see how Shonda gets herself out of this one..
It was a great episode.
I was kinda waiting at the end though for either Ava and/or Alex to come down and see Lexie dancing with the crowd and vice-versa.
Hate Derek & Rose. No chemistry. Even if there was I would still hate them together.

We need Derek & Meredith. Major chemistry. Plus I love them TOGETHER.

first the whole burke and christina and then the whole izzy and george! Now derek and meredith! WHhhyy!! I hope they get back together! Does anybody know if the next one will be the season finale? Im soooo confused !
I HATE ROSE!!!! SHE SHOULD JUST GO CURL UP IN A CORNER AND DIE A PAINFUL DEATH. She’s annoying and ugly and is SOOOOOO wrong for Derek. MerDer is PERFECT they HAVE to be together. Ava was so annoying this episode. I used to like her but now I just want her to leave. Alex and Lexie should be together now. How about Mer telling Hahn to shut up… I LOVED THAT!!!
