Well he couldn’t do better than be in a film with Will Smith. The picture at people looks like he is taller than the one here. He looks like a very charming cute kid.

Yeah, that is old. I am very excited about this. Ima happy for him. I can see the movie star side to him. I have seen him on the red carpet on TV during the promotion of M13 and he looked like he was enjoying every moment of it. I hope the role is a major break for him.
Seeing is believing in Hollywood. I will believe it when I see it.

Here is some news. There are TWO productions Will Smith is currently involved with. One Seven Pounds is I believe in current production(filming) with a release date of Dec 2008. The Director is named Gabriele Muccino NOT SS. The other movie which has Will Smith sort of penciled in as the star is called the Trial of the Chicago 7, which is in PRE-production as far as I could tell not filming yet which would make sense with the other movie already filming. The strike threw them both off schedule, it looks like. Anyway the DIRECTOR of this movie is indeed STEVEN SPIELBERG. No where on IMDB is Connor mentioned on either production, but he could have a bit part that just isn’t credited at this time. Don’t know. Not sure why People would print the story as in my view they are usually a step above the rest of the rags.
He is a handsome little man. I definitely saw star quality in his pics since a while ago. I can’t wait to see him. Wow he is in the top 100 things being googled in America right now. He was on the top 10 list of things being searched on Yahoo too! Wow how this Cruise news spreads like wild fire!

LOS ANGELES (AP) — The 13-year-old son of Tom Cruise is following in his father’s footsteps.
Connor Cruise, the adopted son of Tom Cruise and ex-wife Nicole Kidman, has a minor, non-speaking part in the upcoming Will Smith drama “Seven Pounds,” a spokesman for Columbia Pictures confirmed Tuesday.
Connor Cruise shot his part over two days more than a month ago, playing Smith as a young man and mostly shown in photographs.
The movie, which is still in production, co-stars Rosario Dawson and is directed by “The Pursuit of Happyness” filmmaker Gabriele Muccino. The drama follows the story of a man who affects the lives of seven strangers.
Calls and e-mails to publicists for Kidman and Tom Cruise were not immediately returned Tuesday.
Cruise and Kidman also have an adopted daughter, 15-year-old Isabella. Kidman is pregnant with her first child with hubby singer Keith Urban.
I am still sceptical about it since it is not listed on IMBD. But IMDB has been k nown to be less than accurate.It could also be a way of raising publicity for the movies since Cruise gets a lot of press time. But I will be happy for him if it is true since it is what he wants. People magazine though is reporting it as a fact. But they have also been wrong in the past, though I agree they do have more credibility.
He is indeed a handsome young man and he has been around the film industry all his life, so I would think it won’t be hard for him to step in front of the camera himself. If not now, I imagine we will see him in movies in the future-if that is what he wants to do. Is he 13?

He is just adorable! He will be an instant success. Hope he is ready for what’s in store. That is my only concern for him, if this all pans out. He will have to speak and answer all the Tommy questions, he has so far been able to ignore or avoid. If he does a movie he will have to speak in an interview, and even discussing light topics, something will come up eventually, scares me for him.

Kelly I get your point. I had not thought about that. They did ask him about Suri when she was born on the red carpet. He seemed excited and took it all in good stride. He seems well grounded and his father may protect him during interviews. But still, I am sure someone will ask him about his beliefs. I know Tommy is a tough cookie but that does not mean his kids are.
He is 13 now, by 16 or 17 he will be doing tough interviews with the kid gloves off. He loves sports, he should play basketball instead. The film industry can be very tough.

I just wonder if the media and others will start with the ridiculing comments to Conor as they are doing with his father and his wife.
I don’t really think anyone is going to be ruthless in interviewing him or otherwise. He will have to prove his acting chops like anyone else. The name might get him in the door, but he has to show his stuff. And unless he goes out during interviews and jumps on couches or tells someone he is the authority on psychiatry or whatever, I think most in the biz will leave him alone for the most part. He is only 13, right? So who would pick on a child?? And if he has filmed this part, it is a small one because he isn’t even credited for it yet over on IMDB, so I doubt it is going to garner a whole firestorm of attention. I say give the kid a chance. Dakota Fanning recently had quite a disturbing part in a movie, however as far as I could tell, people were criticizing her parents for allowing her to be exploited not her. You all worry way too much.

Sometimes it is too much to hope for decency, especially today. With cyber anonymity, no one is safe. Already comments are made that he is an actor in his life. He will not escape such insinuations. At leasthe will have a strong and supportive family. That is all that matters. There will always be nasty people in this world. You cannot change that.
Dakota’s parents have made a cautious decision to scale down on her work as she finds her grond. I applaud their decision as this is a difficult time for any child. They should be allowed to make their mistakes in private. Miley Cyrus is going to have some problems from the way things are going.
Dakota Fanning’s parents got a lot of backlash because they allowed Dakota to be r a p e d in a movie. There was a lot of debate that, even though it was acting, this is not something any child should have to do. I saw interviews of Dakota afterwards and you could tell it affected her, even though she kept saying it didn’t.
Miley Cyrus has her dad go with on her tour. He goes because he was once a country music star and he knew what happened on those tours after concerts. He goes with her to help her stay grounded and to protect her. He is a very involved parent and Miley herself has also said she loves having him with her. She also has a strong Christian belief system. I am sure Dad is also making sure she goes to Church–LOL!
Happy for Cannor debut following his parents. I’m sure he will become a great one and I’m so sure Tom Cruise, Nk, Katie Holmes and families proud of him. Good luck Cannor….
