Exclusive Video: David Reed Serenades Crushable with ‘Moving Mountains’

David Reed is not your typical rock star: Growing up in South Carolina, he was “the only boy” to enjoy going to choir, and spent his high school days in bands that took their major influences from Hootie & the Blowfish. But after four years in the band Closer, David struck out on his own: First with his 2008 successful solo album, Missteps and Miscommunications, David is back on tour with his most personal album to date, The Private Life of David Reed.

“After I finished the song ‘Moving Mountains’, I felt like the album was done,” David told Crushable about the ballad that deals with the connection between his parents’ divorce and his current relationships, “Certain songs, writing them can work like therapy, and that’s what Moving Mountains did for me.”

We asked David if he’d perform ‘Moving Mountains’ for us, and he happily obliged. It’s times like these where the term “Crushable” really applies, huh?
