Expect a new sound from Christina Aguilera's next album

We’ve all been waiting to hear more about Christina Aguilera’s next album, right? The latest is that Christina is busy working on a whole new sound with Ladytron with the goal being a slightly synthesized, softer sound.

I’m not sure how I feel about it. One of the key attributes that defines Christina’s voice is her power. It would be weird to hear songs without that factor there. On the other hand, it can get very boring if someone’s albums all sound like the one that came before it, so a bit of experimentation could be a lot of fun.

Meanwhile, Ladytron is apparently thrilled:

“We first heard that we were one of Christina’s favorite bands last summer. We were chuffed. So we went over to L.A. to meet her in December where she identified the type of Ladytron songs that she liked.”

The band was impressed with the fact that Christina really knew their music very well, showing that she’s a serious fan, not just someone who heard one or two songs. They are going to work out some soft songs with basic, simple melodies and although there’s nothing set in stone, Ladytron would love to do some kind of collaboration with Christina.

If you’ve never heard Ladytron before, check this out:

Wooo, I’m thrilled ! Christina is a one of a kind singer who understands music. Not only does she experiment with a different musical style, she recruits the right writers and producers to understand her mood and put it to music.. There is no doubt in my mind that her new album will be amazing!
