American Idol season 3 winner, Fantasia Barrino, was on the results show last night where she sang her new song “Bore Me” and I thought it was pretty good, actually. It was definitely a “Fantasia” performance and I can understand why some people might not have liked it but I really did and, for what it’s worth, I think she pulls off that red hair just fine.

I really enjoyed it too. It went just to the line but not over for a general audience. Just perfect although my mother and father in-law would probably disagree.
Fantasia looks great and she has the moves. I really wonder what David A must have been thinking. What is that poor boy going to do if he wins?

LOL, David I agree…David A, unless he has been saving it for the finale, can’t work the stage and audience like that, especially singing ballads. Geez I hope he really picks up the pace and sings something upbeat for a change.
I’m not worried about David C at all…the man has mad talent and the ability to arrange a song to work for him….David A…good luck buddy. He’s such a sweet kid though…looking forward to seeing him on Disney or maybe a cruise
There is so much controversy about Fantasia’s performance. It is one of those that either you hate it or love it. Did anyone catch the look on Simon’s face???? Priceless…he looked so confused! I loved it!
Fantasia demonstrates that you can win AI and still have your way. AI will last a lot longer if they do more of this. Let the talent go where it wants to go and then bring it back when/if it becomes superb. Showcase it at the end of the season. They did the same thing with Bo last week. Hopefully in a year or two they can do it with Jordin. Her deal with Chris was a good step in that direction.

I didn’t like Fantasia’s performance at all. I think I had the same look on my face as Simon. lol Like WTH
I thought the performance was fantastic. It was a bit of Tina Turner, James Brown. I won’t lie, at first I was like WHAT!! But watched it again it’s darn good people. She was Fierce!!
It was a great performance. I was a bit shocked at first, but watching it again. It was brilliant. It was a bit of Tina Turner, James Brown r & B flavour all wrapped in one. She’s fierce people.
Brilliant! Huge fun. She is a born performer. Simon was a wet blanket last night — like that little daisy David Archuleta. Fierce!

I don’t think age is a deciding factor. I am in the late fifties and enjoy and appreciate the bright colors, the music and the dance. It was lively and full of life. It was different. But that can be a plus too. If I was going to be subjected to terrible pain I would gladly choose Fantasia as the one to bring it on.
I guess I must be losing my mind or the entire American culture is going down the tubes. Well,not everyone-at my health club today everyone was talking about how Fantasia cannot sing at all. People criticize Syesha and they like that screaming that went on last night. I mean come on folks. Stop being picky about other singers then. A little flat, a little pitchy,I mean what in the world was that. I was embarassed for her. It was totally BRUTAL!
I thought she was screaming also. My husband had the same look on his face as Simon. He asked me who she was and couldn’t believe she was an American Idol winner. Couldn’t understand a word she sang. Simon’s look was priceless.
Oldman, that’s too funny. I’m not a terrorist, but she sure tortured me.
AKRYA, That was not confusion on Simon”s face. It was shock and bewilderment. What a freak, would someone PLEASE put her out of her misery???That was not entertainment. Why haven”t they brought Melinda Doolittle back to perform?? She had and has MORE talent than any of them this year.I could listen to anything she sings..
A side note for A”KRYA, Before you accuse me of bigotry once again, when I said I like my colors to be flowers, I was referring to Fantasia”s hideous hair.You are the one with the biased opinions. It is a shame when people misconstrue and take comments OUT of context. I happen to have very GOOD karma thankyou very much.Did I happen to mention that I still LOVE Jason Castro and I think he would be GRATEFUL to have a loyal fan like me…
Kayzee, you have good taste in music. I have loved Jason since Somewhere Over the Rainbow. And I thought Melinda should have won last year. Regarding Fantasia, I totally understand why Simon had that look on his face.

WEIRD???? i watched it with my mom trying to prove to her that the show isn’t crazy, and i told her that was the saddest performance i have ever seen. YUCK hope she isnt that awkward all the time… SORRY!

btw, at the end, randy and simon looked at each other and kind of gave the wth look!! lol

and LAST, i hated this bcz it was more entertainment than singing and talent. it was as simon would put it “a cruise ship performance!”
That was a wild performance…wow. That hair is insane! Only Fantasia could pull that off, though.
Well all I can say is, what an excellent, exuberant, Great, Wonderful, Fantastic, Exhilerating, Out of this World, Awesome, Gigantic, Uplifting, Magical, AWESOME, AWESOME PERFORMANCE by my girl Fantasia. For all of you haters in here who does not know talent when you see or hear it, well all I got to say to you is, THANK GOD THEIR ARE MORE PEOPLE WHO LOVES FANTASIAS SINGING AND CAN APPRECIATE GREAT SINGING WHEN THEY HEAR IT than haters like you. Yeah she may scream a little, but that’s because she is feeling the music, the melody, and has such wonderful control with her voice that she wants you to feel it also. Besides, look at all of those rocknroll singers out there like David Cook or Daughtry for example, THEY SCREAM, but I don’t hear you complaining. You know why, because they are white, so it’s alright when David Cook or Daughtry or KISS screams, but because Fantasia is black and screams with a wonderful tone I might add, you have a problem. Rock n Roll bands and singers scream all the time, and they sound HORRIBLE when they scream and I don’t hear you complaining and talking about their horrible talent and they tortured me and all that crap. Like I said, thank God their are more people who loved Fantasias performance that night than haters like some of you. Besides, if you look very closely, 90% of the audience loved Fantasia. They were dancing and rocking right along with her. I saw all those white girls in the front dancing and rocking with her. And you know what else I saw? I just realized what Simons look was all about. That look that Simon gave was towards the end when Fantasia twirled her head and her body. He was probably like what kind of dance is that. That is the look Simon is giving. Simon is not giving a look about Fantasias singing whatsoever because her singing was great. Simon loves Fantasia and her singing and I’m even sure Simon had a hand in her winning although she has great talent. But Simons look was towards the end of her song when she twirled her head and her body after she went back on stage. That’s the look simon gave as a response to her twirling her head and body on stage towards the end. Not her singing you haters. Look at the clip again and while you are their, look at how many people are enjoying and dancing along with Fantasias performance. You guys are hyprocrites because Rock n Roll guys SCREAM ALL THE TIME but I don’t hear you criticizing them. You know how many times David Cook screamed on stage? I can’t count. Anyway, AWESOME AWESOME PERFORMANCE FANTASIA. I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK AND HANDS DOWN, YOU ARE THE BEST AMERICAN IDOL SINGER EVER. Then Ruben and then Kelly.

Precious: OMG really! Because we don’t like that particular Fantasia perfomance we’re haters and racists? Get real! She’s always been Simone’s favorite and he thought that performance stunk, and it did IMO. Screaming is one thing but screaming so as not to understand a word she’s singing is quite another. IMO of course. Otherwise I think she’s very talented.
That ‘look’ that Simone gave was OMG what is that supposed to be. He was on Ellen yesterday and said as much. He hated it, all of it.
Ok Bev out of everybody’s comment, I like yours the best because you have your opinion BUT AT LEAST YOU RECOGNIZE SHE IS TALENTED AND A GREAT SINGER. You may not like this performance but at least you recognize that. So there’s nothing much I can say to you but one thing, David Cook screams also, rock n roll bands screams also. Just think about that.
Anyway, Faith take a closer look at Simon and see exactly why he gave that look. First of all, Fantasia gained some weight. But second of all if you look closely I am almost certain Simon responded with that look towards the end after she was twirling her head and whining her body like the other sexy singers behind her. I think Simon was responding to that. NOT HER SINGING. Because truly simon does love Fantasias singing. He was not making that face at her singing, it was her head twirling and her switching her body around. Look again. Look very closely again. Take a look and see for yourself. But even if Simon was making that face because of her singing, who the hell cares what simon thinks. Fantasia has already made it. She already won American Idol. She already played in Broadway. She has already done an acting gig. She has already made records. She has already bought a mansion. She already has 3 cars one of them a Ferrari. And she is in the studio making another album. Who the hell cares what he thinks. She does not have to get voted off. SHE WON. But I am telling you that is not the case. Look at the clip again. Simon is 100% making that face because of the way she twirled her head and whined her weight gained body around like those sexy girls in the back. I’m positive of this. Look at the clip again.
Thanks Randy, I thought Fantasia’s performance was great! She’s showing you what you get at her concert, she’s the best of American Idol so far, talent is talent and she has it!
