There were a lot of really great photos of Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie on the red carpet last week for the premiere of The Curious Case of Benjamin Button in Los Angeles, but one in particular stood out for me.
Granted, it’s not the usual “Brad Pitt Maneuver” as we call it here on PittWatch (when Brad gets caught on camera, giving Angelina‘s butt a little squeeze!), but a little kissing action is really just as good if you ask me!

I live and work in LA… special screenings during award season – they have it all the time. For instance, last night a special screening of MILK. I have to say, the category for best actor has stiff competition. Sean Penn’s performance is transformational and extraordinary.
I’m a HUGE BP/AJ fan! Make no mistake of that! I would LOVE to see BP win an oscar, globe, etc.; however, Penn’s performance from an acting view point has a larger more complicated scale of acting (deemed by the character itself). BP’s performance in Button is stellar and transformational but his character vs Harvey Milk is extremely different and their storyline obviously different. Again, a huge fan of BP so don’t attack me for giving my opinion… different characters, different character arches, different emotional content, and of course, very different storyline and in Hollywood – that is the process of measure.

Under Mod- My dislike of Ugh Weakly’s polls pitting kids against each other, and my thoughts on the tabs treatment of Shi vs. her older siblings.
Oh, and I also want to say that I hate it when Ugh Weakly does polls like that, especially when they are pitting Shiloh against Mad, Pax, and Zee Zee (I just hope they don’t start doing that with twins now too!), or pitting Shiloh against Suri, Kingston, etc., while completely ignoring Mad, Pax, and Zee Zee.
They aren’t the only ones who do that, either. Star, OK, and Life&Style all had covers this year that really got me. Life&Style did a “The Cutest Celebrity Kids” (or something like that) cover, featuring Shiloh, Suri, Violet Affleck, and Matilda Ledger. Zahara is just as beautiful as Shiloh is, and I wish they would have featured her, too. Also, not only was Shi the only J-P kid they included, but, with the exception of Suri (who has dark brown hair), all of the toddlers featured were of the blonde haired/blue eyed category.
Star did a “Little Princesses” cover featuring Shiloh and Suri. Isn’t Zee Zee a little princess too? They also did a “Shiloh Meets the Twins!” cover right after Knox and Viv were born. Uh, excuse me, but Shi wasn’t an only child before the twins were born! Also, the story Star ran to go with that cover supposedly was the same story that Ugh Weakly printed that weak…Except Ugh Weakly included the other kids.
As for OK, they did a “I want My Baby Sisters!” cover about how Shiloh was supposedly all ready for the twins (never mind that they weren’t even both girls!). What about the other kids? Wouldn’t they have been getting ready for the twins, too? And don’t even get me started on OK’s “Angie’s Joy, Jen’s Pain,” cover from right before Angie “confirmed” her pregnancy with Knox and Viv.
Sorry for the rant, I just can’t stand it when the tabs exclude Mad, Pax, and Zee Zee (and unfourtnately when Zee Zee DOES get a cover, it’s never a good one. This year there was the cover about her bio mom and grandma wanting her back, and last year was the cover about her facing “risky hip surgery”. I don’t remember the last time Mad or Pax have had a tabloid cover)!
What REALLY fries me, though, is when Shiloh is referred to (albeit not nearly as often since the birth of the twins) as Angie and Brad’s first child, and the twins (this was before Jack Black accidentally spilled the beans!) as being Angie and Brad’s second child. Uh, no they are not! Shi is Angie and Brad’s third child, and the twins are their 4th and 5th children!
If I may make a suggestion, I think we should have a discussion topic about why the tabs (and even some of the more legimite media), seem to see Shiloh and the twins as more important than Mad, Pax, and Zee Zee (I know there was a “Bio vs. Adopted” discussion post here, but I think that was more about adopting kids vs. having kids biologically).
Ligaya, I forgot to mention that I don’t think you need to worry about the kids as far as JA being stalkerish goes. I really can’t see her trying to kidnap them or anything. Or were you referring to something else?
UNDER MOD- JA, the Jolie-Pitts, and Christmas.
Ligaya- I agree. I have absolutely no problem what JA does with her body or her life as long as it’s not hurting anybody. While nude pictures on the cover of a magazine like GC (If it’s PlayBoy or the swimsuit issue of Sports Illustrated, then I understand, but I don’t think magazines such as GQ need to go there) aren’t my cup of tea, I don’t see what the problem is with JA posing nude (or almost nude, other than the tie or whatever it is around her neck). She is certainly not the first actress to do so, nor will she be the last. For example, remember when Demi Moore posed nude while pregnant with one of her daughters (Scout, I believe)?
I do, however, think she needs to stop talking about the J-P kids, unless she gets permission from Brad and Angie to mention them in a complimentary way. My main rant about JA is actually how she keep saying she wants to have a baby and how she “longs” for motherhood. The reason that gets me is that it’s pretty obvious that one of the main reasons here and Brad split was because Brad wanted to start a family (I just about tear up myself whenever I think of how Brad used to tear up when talking about wanting kids in interviews) and she didn’t.
I fully realize that she may have changed her mind since then (after all, it’s been nearly 4 years since she and Brad split), but as much as I try to tell myself that, something about her comments about wanting kids still really rubs me the wrong way. I’m not sure exactly what, though.
All of that said, as much as I’d love to see the J-P kids again (especially Knox and Viv!), I actually hope they DON’T release a photo for the holidays. If they do, then the h8ters will be saying things such as “What hypocrites!”, “Their they are pimping out their kids!”, etc. Basically, pretty much the same things the H8ters (and even a few people who are mostly fans) have said about the W Magazine photos.
As an aside, though, I’d LOVE to see their Christmas card photo! Last year I was thinking about them writing Christmas letters and I actually felt bad for them. That’s because I can’t imagine what they can put in their Christmas letters that the media hasn’t already announced to the world. How awful to not be able to tell your family any of your news yourself!
All I can say is, it’s nice to have this as a positive site to admire Brad and Angie. I hope that someone will inform them about this site so that they can know how much so many people support them and are on the side of understanding of the love that they have created. I love coming here after checking the always biased to the NEG us weekly. I don’t entertain the polls because it is a platform for people to THINK they are slamming the JP’s but they are not. Yes the picture confirms the love and respect and the comfort that they have found with each other. I love their love story…if they had to battle it was to battle the fact that this was meant to be. together they faced all of the tabloid pressure the JA position and the joining of the 2 families I am just glad for them
–Heads up, Pittwatchers. Ugh Weakly is running one of their polls pitting kids against each other. Right now the votes are running 79% for Kingston against Maddox.
Well, Mary Ann, I have no objection what X does with her body or her life as long as it’s not destructive to others, and people do have the right to make bad choices . . .
Having said that, I hope that’s the last time the JP kids’ names ever leave her mouth or she ever refers to them again, whether in a complimentary, neutral or derogatory way. X’s fight is with their parents, not with the JP kids.
Before the GQ interview came out, I posted on another board that IMO X was verging into stalker territory and I was starting to fear for the kids.
Carmen thank you, that is such a nice video. I wish I had the time one day to watch alot of the videos on You Tube about the Jolie-Pitts. Its seems like a very long time since we have seen all the children. I know we saw Madd in NOLA a couple of weeks ago. I hope and pray that Brad and Angie release a family picture for the holidays. I would love to see how all of them have grown and changed in their looks. Now something off topic: I try real hard not to get into bashing celeb’s but I want to talk about this picture of JA. If JA was nude with a dog sitting next to her maybe I would laugh and think boy that is a different way to promote a movie. But I feel that she is making many poor choices lately. She needs to start acting like a 40 year old woman not some valley girl. She keeps putting her foot in her mouth and now nude pictures. I know I am old but I pride myself on being young thinking, but this picture I believe was a big mistake. And she really needs to watch what she says about Angie and the children. This summer before the twins picture was released she made some remark that she hoped they would be good looking, because everyone wants their baby to be cute. In my book, none of her remarks are cute or funny.
OMG! What a beautiful photo of Brad and Angie kissing on the red carpet! I´ve never seen them doing this before. Angie used to do this a lot with her ex (BBT) but never before has she done this with Brad. It just proves how much they love each other. They´re truly, madly, deeply in love with each other. BTW. joliepittfanatic. I also think that Angie is happier than she´s ever been in her life. She´s finally come to terms with the death of her mum. She now has those two beautiful little babies in her life and Marcheline will always live on in them. Especially in Vivienne who obviously is a spitting image of her late grandmother and mother. I also read Herald Sun interview in which Angie tells how Mad writes letters to his mum and dad in the middle of the night when he can´t sleep. I found that very cute. That proves two things. He really loves his parents and he CAN write. Some haters have doubted that since he doesn´t go to school regularly he can´t either read or write but now those haters are proven wrong. He and his younger siblings are home schooled. And whenever they stay in one place longer Mad does go to school (normally Lycee Francais so that he can improve his French). God bless the Jolie-Pitt family!

niemiec idiota, actually, I think their next trip will be to Ethiopia for Christmas (Brad said in a recent interview that they will be going to one of their children’s birth countries for Christmas, and Angie said in one of HER recent interviews that they were going to “be in Ethiopia in a few weeks time”).
Of course, the Japanese premire could be before then, and who knows, maybe it’s just a one-day thing and they’ll leave the kids in LA with Brad’s parents and/or their nannies). However, I doubt the premire will be held over the holidays! Therefore, I’m guessing the premire won’t be until after Christmas.
yes i think ur right. the japan release of CCOBB is not till the last week on january 2009, so the jolie-pitts may go to ethipoia in late december 2008 before then

Susan G, since that par tof the article isn’t in quotes, I’m guessing Brad DIDN’T use the word “dating” (I can’t imagine him, or Angie for that matter, using that word either!
I’m guessing it was the author of the article that used that word (which I think was actually a bit dissrespectful to Brad and Angie. Having six kids together and being as committed as they are is a lot more than simply “dating”!).

don’t worry nadia, brad will be home soon, and brad and angie are already planning on their next trip, to japan for the CCOBB premiere there, angelina has already said this to a japanese t.v crew at the l.a premiere last week
