Double, Double, Toil and Trouble was Mary-Kate and Ashley’s second full length feature film.
They played twins Kelly (Mary-Kate) and Lynn (Ashley) Farmer, who need to save their family’s home.
Recap:
Kelly and Lynn’s family is going through a lot of trouble: they are in debt and they are about to lose their house! They figure out that their evil Aunt Agatha is up to this, and is also causing trouble for the twins’ good Aunt Sophie. Kelly and Lynn must stop their Aunt Agatha, who has magical powers, so they can save their home, their family and their Aunt Sophie. The girls figure out the key to Aunt Agatha’s magic is a special moonstone she found a long time ago. To stop her magical powers, the girls must find this moonstone and retrieve it from the wrath of Aunt Agatha.
My Take: This film won Mary-Kate and Ashley the 1994 Young Artist Award for ” Best Youth Actress in a TV Mini-Series, M.O.W. or Special.” Their acting chops improved immensely from To Grandmother’s House We Go; they seem to be enjoying this cute Halloween romp through haunted houses and wicked witches. Mary-Kate and Ashley built their entertainment empire not only on the fact they were adorable twins, but by producing quality family films that are as enjoyable and cute as the girls themselves!

hay im Carlie walters ummm i like a good life but mary kate is a greatest star i ever seen but i wish i can see them until im 18 so that way i get to meet them for a qustions to them that they were young and a teen so this is the best time that i was watching a movie Thanks
This movie was always a favorite of mine when i was younger. The Olsen twins used to be an inspiration to me when i was younger, but then they got into the Hollywood scene. Don’t get me wrong, i would definitely still watch movies if they where to come out with more, but i just know they could have done better. This still will always be a phenomenal film.
