First Aid Kit - Blue Christmas

Earlier today I was sitting in my mothers kitchen, she was making a chocolate cake from scratch for my ex-boyfriend. It was a mutual break-up, we’re happily friends although my mom is constantly trying to win him back with cooking. So anyway, I’m at the kitchen table and she’s pouring the mix into a pan and asking me about the blog. Then she gets really serious and says “you should blog about Christmas, there’s a lot of good Christmas music out these days.” I was kinda laughing when she said it, but then I thought of this christmas cover by First Aid Kit and here we are.

First Aid Kit is this adorable Swedish folk duo comprised of two sisters, Klara and Johanna Söderberg from Stockholm. The fact that these sisters are 15 and 17 years old makes their music only more impressive. Check out their myspace page, I promise you will not be disappointed.
