Carrie Underwood’s upcoming album Play On comes out on November 3, 2009 but her first single “Cowboy Casanova” has hit the internet and I’d love to hear what you have to say about it.
First of all, can I just say how pretty Carrie looks in the cover art? She’s beautiful and I love how understated she is with the cute little flower in her hair. Very nice! Do you like it?
So I didn’t really know what to expect from “Cowboy Casanova” even though the title should have clued me in. She definitely is out to warn her fellow women again on this track since she advises them to “run for your life” since he’s such a creep. She goes on to describe what a “Cowboy Casanova” is so that you can spot him if he tries to woo you. Too funny!
I actually really liked it. It’s different that the sound from Carnival Ride and she’s got a lot of words to sing in the chorus but, overall, I think it’s going to do well. Have a listen and let me know what you think:
