Flashback Friday: Trisha Yearwood

Trisha Yearwood at the 1997 CMA’s singing How Do I Live.

Personally, I’ve always liked her version better than LeAnn Rimes’. What do you think?

I love this version of the song – I might be a little biased (no really!) but I have always believed that you can hear an artist’s life and experience come through. I love LeAnn too and think she is developing beautifully – but there just seems to be more depth in Trisha’s delivery – for now that is!

Andrew, I couldn’t agree more! I remember when LeAnn’s “Blue” first came out a dj commented that she hit the right notes and everything but just didn’t have the life experiences at 14 to make it emotionally believable.
