Frank Curtin Totally Bummed He Forgot Court Date, Dude

lynnecurtinheadshotse5.jpgOur friends at Radar, who have a direct line into Real Housewives land, got the scoop on why Real Housewives of Orange County house husband Frank Curtin (husband to Lynne) missed his court date and now has a warrant out. The only excuse he could give was he “forgot” because it’s “the Christmas season.” He was doing lots of Christmas shopping with all that imaginary money!

He also stands up for Lynne, claiming her name being included in the suit is just a technicality and that she had nothing to do with this business deal gone bad. That’s sweet, but do judges just name random people in lawsuits? As for the warrant, it’s “on hold” until January 21. If they “forget” this other date (maybe they can blame it on Martin Luther King Day?) , the warrant will be enforced and they’ll be arrested.

It looks like the Curtins had a 3rd eviction in 2009. OC courts shows another unlawful detainer filed on 10-16-09.

Also, have you heard anything about Tamra becoming a GRANDMOTHER!! Some message boards are reporting that Ryan has posted on his facebook page that he has a 1 month old daughter, Dakota. Any info??

Hi there. Still loving this site. One note, however. Despite the fact that Lynn is a complete mess, judges don’t name defendants in lawsuits — the plaintiff does. They can name whomever they choose and drop them later. Lawyers name as many people as they can initially, and pare things down later . . .

It is somewhat unclear what this “judgment” is or even if it is a judgment. My guess is that it was a default judgment in the amount of 1.2 million. A default means that the other party fails to show up so the court can enter a judgment against them and then the plaintiff has to have some evidence of damages. This is entirely speculation on my part, but I think there was some deal that went sour here with the business partner. Business partner personally sued Frank and Lynne and they failed to defend themselves, and thus, there is a judgment against both of them.

Even if Lynne had nothing to do with it, if she was named and a default occurred, she is responsible.

Another appropriate title for the blog: “Dude When’s My Courtdate?”.

I don’t think these people are even capable of tying their shoelaces.
