Friday Flashback: Britney Spears "You Drive Me Crazy" live in 1998

I love finding little gems of video clips on YouTube. For this week’s Friday Flashback I found a really old video of Britney Spears performing “You Drive Me Crazy” live in a mall in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. It was done back in 1998, so it’s going back 11 years. Check this out:

It was simple and straightforward with some great dancing. I love it! It’s funny to watch it now. She was already popular but it wasn’t quite the way it is now. Can you imagine Britney Spears performing in a mall nowadays? They’d have to have security through the roof to keep her safe and to keep people who couldn’t get tickets from forcing their way in.

It’s kind of nice to look back and see how far Britney’s come in just over a decade.
