News is still quiet on the Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie front right now. There’s nothing official out as to where things lie with Moneyball. As of now the film is pretty much dead in the water unless another studio picks it up. While it’s a terrible shame for the crew members who were really relying on the income from working on the film, the fact that we haven’t seen Brad or Angelina out and about means that they’re getting a chance to hang out and enjoy life with their family right now.
In light of that, here’s another Friday Flashback for you, a great fan-made video with clips from Mr. & Mrs. Smith.
Every time I see anything from that movie I get the urge to throw my DVD in and watch it. I have no major plans for this Friday evening so I think I just might go ahead and watch Mr. & Mrs. Smith!

Ligaya- I agree. Angie and Brad probably won’t do another film together as they always make sure that only one of them is working at a time.
As for the twins…I’m surprised so many people think they’ll release a picture for the twins’ birthday, when they’ve never released pictures on the other kids’ birthdays in the past! Anyway, I agree with Casey in that I hope they DON’T release a picture for the twins’ first birthday (I do NOT agree with what she said about not being a fan of the kids. I don’t know how anyone could dislike the J-P kids. That might not be what she meant, though, and if that’s the case, then Casey, I apologize in advance). My main reasons, other than that I don’t think it’s neccesary or something they’d do are that:
1. The h8ters would immeditely jump on them, saying things such as, “See, there they are pimping out their kids!”.
and
2. I would feel bad for the older kids, especially Mad, Pax, and Z, as Angie and Brad have never released pictures of them and their birthdays.
Forgot my actual post (if I post staccato pizzicato telegraph-style from now on, blame Faceboook’s character-limit): since the JPs won’t film together because ‘who’s going to take care of the kids?” issue, what about the next best thing – a pictorial a la the “W” magazine mid-century suburban angst. Brad loves coming up with concepts – it’ll be like shooting storyboards for a movie. Or just do a fashion shoot of the two of them together – everyone will absolutely drool.
Casey, there’s certainly a lot of back & forth on the celeb kids photos issue on all sides, and not just the JP kids (please see my 6/28/09, 1:42am post above on how the kids photos for charity donations started with Michael Jackson – for the same reasons the JPs have expressed over the years).
I think in a tabloid-free world – no tab mags, newspapers, tv, blogs, etc. – nothing on the celebs’ kids or other family members, for that matter, should be public. This isn’t that world.
For that matter, IMO, even though it would go against my curiosity, I think celebs private lives should be private and any media coverage of them should focus solely on their work, profession, craft, projects, causes, passions, hobbies as they see fit to make public.
gaga – It’s not a new interview, the twins were only five months old and Brad was still filming Inglourious Basterds. :)
i hope brad and angelina DON’T release any pics to people magazine for the twins birthday. brad and angie have never released pics of shiloh’s three birthdays, can’t see brad and angie changing this for the twins. it’s better to keep birthdays private IMO, and it would also not bother me if i never saw any of brad and angie’s kids till they were 18 years old. i am a fan of angelina and brad , not their kids. JMHO.

Thanks for the video, Sherry! Mr & Mrs Smith is one of my favorite movies ever. Brad and Angie both are very good in it. When I first saw it I saw immediately that there was something going on between them. And now four years later they are still together and going stronger no matter what the rags say. Although we haven´t seen any new pics of them or the children it doesn´t mean that they are not together anymore. They are having some quality time as a family in LA. Maybe later they´ll fly to France to continue their summer vacation. The twins´ first b-day is getting closer and it would be interesting to see how much Knox and Vivienne have both grown. And how much their older siblings have grown too. Lets hope that there´ll be a family portrait to celebrate the twins´ b-day on July 12. God bless the JPs forever!

Mary Ann, I wish! ;-) No, Ryan’s not involved. Apparently, it’s common for scripts to get passed around among filmmakers unless they’re hush-hush, and in Moneyball’s case, it seems moot. But it’ll be fun to read what could have been.
To accidentalBRANfan, you should see MMS, it’s action & comedy not violent at all. God bless the Jolie-Pitt family.
I’ve never seen Mr & Mrs Smith — I am not into movies with much violence or “action”. But reading all of the above comments makes me wonder if I should go rent it anyways… just to see my fave couple!

JM- Thanks for the article about the 2 Australians and their Brad & Angie encounter. It’s sweet how Brad & Angie get away for those date nights.
Kimmy – I love Angie in Life or Something Like It. Just like I enjoyed her in Playing by Heart. I wish she would try another romantic comedy, maybe with Brad. I definitely would love to see a sequel to MAMS.

Question for Ligaya: The Moneyball script, is your son Ryan involved with getting this movie made? If so, that would be so interesting if Ryan was involved and Brad was still the male lead.
Have yo read that Doug Pitt was approached to run in Politics in MO?
MMS is my favorite movie of all time, like neer, Whenever I watch MMS I tried to find scenes where they showed signs of how they are so much in love, the chemistry, the magic of them in the big screen, I can’t explain it but these beautiful couple is beyond me, I’ve never admire any movie stars in my life ( of course back in the Philippines I like Fernando Poe & Susan Roces)Brad & Angie are different, maybe because not only they are good actors but great humanitarian. I will always be their fan.
