John Stamos is working on an idea for a feature film version of Full House. The film wouldn’t be a reunion of the main cast and characters, however, it would take place during the first few years of the show and feature an all new cast.
“I’m working on a movie idea, but it wouldn’t be us playing us,” he told us. “I’m not 100% sure, but it would probably take place in the first few years” he told the New York Daily News. John has also been throwing out ideas for his dream cast – James Franco as Uncle Jesse, Steve Carell at Danny Tanner and Tracy Morgan as Joey Gladstone.
I do like the idea of a Full House movie, I simply can’t see it happening, nor do I see any of those actors participating. It’s possible John is working on something completely original that uses the same premise -a single dad of three girls asks his best friend and brother-in-law to move in and help – as a jumping point. But if this is the case, wouldn’t it a be a fresher movie if the association to Full House was downplayed or not mentioned at all?
