Fun In The Lyrics | Whenever, Wherever by Shakira

Something to look forward to here at Pop Music Scene is the dissection of Pop Songs lyrics. Coz really, do you ever  take time to read the lyrics? They sound good with the music and all but take 2 minutes to read through some of them sometime. You’ll find the stupidest, most hilarious combination of words strung together to form a 3 minute song. Hence, Fun In The Lyrics.

First up is Whenever, Wherever by Shakira. The song is supposed to be about long distance relationships. Shakira mentioned a lot of metaphors involving body parts. Here are a couple of examples..

Baby I would climb the Andes solely
To count the freckles on your body

Really? Damn, she must have plenty of time to count them freckles. And here’s my favorite part…

Lucky that my breasts are small and humble
So you don’t confuse them with mountains

LMAO!!!! Descriptive much?
