This looks sort of like the Alchemy game on Puzzle Pirates: The right combination unlocks the gate. It seems here that you can acquire animal companions, potions, spells, and maybe even Horcruxes -- note the Slytherin locket.
One of the coolest obstacles of the series, and featured in the first book, no less. If this is in line with "playing along," we already know that you'll have to control the giant chess set. But what if it really kept in the books and you had to sacrifice one of your newfound Pottermore online buddies to move past this stage?
You get scrumptious food, noisemakers, and even the cool floaty candles. What would be excellent would be if the site includes recipes to all of the food mentioned in the books' holiday celebrations.
