General Hospital : Kate Howard and Her Cape Belted Jacket

To be honest, the day I took this shot, I was ready to bombard Kate Howard with all sorts of fashion faux pas. But after seeing her again with it yesterday, I changed my mind. I actually liked the cape belted jacket. It’s so chic. I think my problem with it at first was it’s kinda showy. “Oh look at me, Couture magazine former fashion editor, I’ve fought the jungle and persevered“. And then there was Sonny patronizing her ass all the time. “Oh is that Kate Howard the Editor of Couture attitude I’m getting dished with“. I like Kate. She’s mature, sane and confident. But I swear to God if she or Sonny mention for the umpteenth time how she is a Fashion Editor who fought the cruel fashion business tooth and nail and surviving it, I’m going to scream. I’m so tired of it.

Yes, we know the fashion business is a nasty, and cruel industry. But Dammit, it’s not the most important job in the world. I don’t give a crap if Connie whatever her last name is made a name of herself as Kate Howard of Couture Magazine, well I do but not too much, there are other important jobs in the world, like err, I don’t know, Motherhood? Ask Oprah, she’ll tell you that’s the hardest job in the world.

So yes, please stop acting all hoighty-toighty that you don’t need Sonny and his mob minions. We all know you’re just going to be another woman on his long list of women possession. Unless of course you actually stick to your guns and not get involved with him. Like marrying him. Just make Sonny your F-buddy. Show him that he’s not the only one who can dangle an apple in someone’s face. You know, to wipe that dimples off his face. Hah! If Kate does that then I might actually regain my respect for her. Knock on wood.
