Soaps In Depth magazine gathered some of the General Hospital Stars and their well wishes for Natalia Livinggston whose last scene as Emily Quartermaine was a few weeks ago. Just in case anyone missed last year’s November Sweeps, Emily was killed by a Text Message Killer during The Bacchanalia hosted by Nikolas Cassadine. Around Thanksgiving or so. Soaps On ABC had loads of screenshots from the Ball to Emily’s death but they’ve been deleted from the server for legal purposes so there’s really no point of linking you all to those posts. Sorry
. Anyhooo, Emily didn’t really leave Port Charles. She started making her presence as a ghost, albeit only Nikolas could see her. Anyway, here are the messages Natalia Livingston received from her co-workers.
Tyler Christopher (Nikolas Cassadine): “I really believe that as an actor, you can only be as good as the person that’s across from you. Of course, for me, for 5 years, that was Natalia. If anyone appreciates my work then I have to give half the credit to her. I hate to see her go, that that’s what she wants to do”.
Maurice Benard ( Sonny Corinthos) : “I will miss Natalia and her sweet soul, on GH. We’re very close, she’s like the sweet sister I always wanted to. But we will remain close friends as she continues her career elsewhere”
Steve Burton (Jason Morgan) : “I like Natalia so much, as an actress and as a person. I Know she’ll continue to do well on television and in movies and most importantly in her life”.
Stuart Damon (Alan Quartermaine) : “Natalia is one of the most beautiful human beings I’ve ever known. I mean that both outside and inside. She is a gentle, real human being that I love dealry as a friend and as a comrade. It was very easy for me to assume as an actor that she was my daughter because there was an incredible connection between the two of us. I will never ever forget the scenes that we did when Alan was dying. We were so connected to each other and it felst so deeply, that one didn’t have to think about acting. It just kind of rolled out of us. I bid her a fond farewell. I will miss her. I know she’ll do well”.
Rick Hearst (Ric Lansing) : “My fondest memory of Natty has got to be at the GH cast photo shoot and her telling me that she used to watch me on Guiding Light. Her fast was so lit up when she spoke of it. It made me feel honored. She has never lost that light in her eyes, that enthusiasm, that sweet, sort of innocent passion about herself. I wish her all the success”.
Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis) : “She is the angel on the set. She doesn’t have an insincere bone in her body. When someone is written who is good and talented, it’s the universe’s way of saying there is something more for them. I truly believe this with her”.
Laura Wright (Carly Jacks) : “Natalia was was the first actress I worked with when I cam to GH. It was a hard transition from one show to another, from East Coast to West Coast. She made it absolutely wonderful. She ate lunch with me almost every day. Natty is a very, very special person who will be dearly missed”.
Jane Elliot (Tracy Quartermaine) : “Underneath that shy interior lurks the heart of a wicked practical joker. She was so surprisingly funny that she will never be duplicated, ever. She has a wonderful team spirit and loved community process. She was a pleasure to work wiht. She will be sorely missed around here”.
Leslie Charleson (Monica Quartermaine) : “I hate goodbyes. There have been so many of them. When Amber Tamblyn left and Natty took over, she had maturity and grace, which she brought to the part. I really respected that. She was given a very challenging role and they were tough shoes to fill but she did a wonderful job. I wish we could have worked together more often. When we did, it was very special. I will miss her smile and her grace. I wish her well in all her endeavors. PS: Don’t forget to call your mother”.
John Ingle (Edward Quartermaine) : “When Natalia joined our family to play the role of Emily, I was delighted. Especially since hers was a real success story. She was working in the garden department at Home Depot in Hollywood and was getting discouraged and was ready to chuck the tough acting thing and go back home. But our Cinderella did go to the ball, and we welcomed her with open arms. Her Emily was every grandparent’s dream: beautiful, sensitive, always prepared. And now, like a lot of the Q’s she’s gone. What a loss for us”.
