German Interview with Grey's Anatomy Cast

Yesterday, on Twitter, I posted a link to a German interview with the cast of Grey’s Anatomy and a kind soul took the time to translate the interview into English (thanks @yirehmail!!).

The interview features Patrick Dempsey talking about his thoughts regarding the season, car racing and what he thinks about being the Sexiest Man Alive. Also, Ellen Pompeo, who comments on Derek’s new look, but thinks it’s less enjoyable to kiss him because it’s scratchy. Sandra Oh who states that she’s a big fan of humor and also talks about working with Kevin McKidd. Kevin McKidd returns the favor and also talks about Scotland.

- the Developtment of the Show “The new episodes are darker, harder and many unexpected happens.”

-the Script “It was no doubt a great challenge for the screenwriter to be fair to every character. After 100 episodes could we conclude that there were too many main characters in the Show, who couldn’t gain the same attention inevitably .”

-His Carrer “I am satisfied how my career goes. And I hope, that this career would still go on , even one day after Grey’s Anatomy”.

-His Setting to the “Real Doctors” “When I go to a doctor or to hospital, I feel less uneasy, which didn’t I felt before Grey’s Anatomy. The Show and my role as Dr. Derek Shepherd has help me with this very much. And today I would pay even more attention what the “the real doctors” would do as a research.”

-Car Racing “This is my great passion! This year I had the chance to attend the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which was a great challenge for me. And I was surprised by the last Formel1- Season. Lewis Hamilton had done a great job.”

-His Favorite Tv-Series “I am great Fan of “Nip/Tuck”. Sometimes I would also turn the TV on for Entourage.”

- The new Look of Derek Shepherd “I like Patricks / Dereks new look pretty much. But it is less enjoyable when kissing, because it scratches very much. I feel bad for Patrick’s wife. She has to live with it every day.”

-Meredith’s Relationship to Derek Shepherd “I think that they lead to a very healthy relationship. Meredith gives a good example to many young woman, who watch Grey’s Anatomy regularly.”

“Simply Just To Relax”- Sandra Oh / Cristina Yang about…

-Her Partner Kevin McKidd ‘I am amazed to be able working with Kevin. I am kinda proud about our relationship.”

-Humor “I am a great fan of the Art of humor, as you can see in “Sideways”. I would love to go that direction. Unfortunately, we have a very tight schedule at Grey’s Anatomy. Sometimes it is just important to have time just simply to relax.”

-His Colleague Sandra Oh “Sandra is an extraordinary Actress. I can only praise her with the highest notes. I said yes to the show because of working with her. For me it means a great honor, not only to be on her side, but also to play the role of her boyfriend. “
