Jake Weber’s new spooky movie, The Haunting of Molly Hartley is set to be released for Halloween - October 31, 2008.
It sounds creepy – a scary past for Molly Hartley, played by Haley Bennett, overwhelms her when she moves to a new place. As she struggles with what she thinks is the same mental illness her mother had, she finds out that she isn’t insane…just a future servant of Satan. Someone get this girl a different guidance counselor!

Wow…sounds pretty scary.
How credible are these ’spooky stories’ and why do they only happen to white people? Not that I would invite it to happen to me, but where are all the chinese, black, hispanic and hawaiian people? Your spirit stories or movies will be more credible if you included all earth’s populations… not just white people. My theory is there is no such things as ghosts. these spooks are extraterrestial and getting their kicks out of scaring ignorant humans like yourself
Marion,
Jake Weber is a Caucasian actor on the Medium television show and this is a fan site for Medium. Because of this, the site tends to be slanted toward some cultures more than others. However, there is a very long history of ghosts, seers and “haints” in other cultures. One example is the blue bottle trees African American Southerners made to snare witches. Another is the Native American tradition of having a Shaman who deals with spirits and other supernatural things.
Katelyn!!!
I missed ya’ll. I hope all is well with you and yours.
As for this movie, I will not be seeing it. I have a problem with disturbing content. I usually don’t willingly watch horror movies. I still have never seen The Exorcist. This movie has the makings of a classic if it’s done right.
Sooo, I will have to take the word of those brave enough to sit through a movie about a young girl’s revelation (ironic term) that she was Rosemary’s Baby.
BTW,
I wuz bone an raized in thu Sawf.
I’ve never heard of a blue bottle tree. So I was very intrigued and looked it up after I read your response above. Wow. I love learning something new. The creations are strangely beautiful.
Hi, Lena!! Where ya been? Missed ya!
I’m with you about this movie. I’m not too sure I can sit through this in a theater. Maybe on dvd when I can watch it at home. Then I can turn it off if it gets too scary and not feel bad about wasting all that money.
BTW, I wuz raised in teh Sawf too and I’ve never heard of blue bottle trees either. I’ll have to look into that and see what it’s about. Heheh!
Hey Dawn!!!
I missed you too dear lady. I’ve been busy at work. This summer is the busy season. All staff members try to get to training when family schedules are more flexible.
Everything is good. I hope you and your family are doing well.
