Gilmore Girls has made it into many Top lists for 2007. This is just skim of the most recent references to Gilmore moments:
-
BuddyTV Debbie Chang’s Top 7 of ’07
- #2 best show - "And so the series ended, with each Gilmore girl making her way through life, feeling out her next move, one at a time."
- #1 best finale - "the perfect way to say good-bye to the Girls." (#5 over all reviewers)
-
Columbia Spectator Top 10 TV Kisses
- "Four years of coffee and flirting led to this incredible moment, but it wasn’t quite perfect. The stupid Rory-Logan plot ruined any happy feelings we were left with at the end of the Luke-Lorelai kiss."

film.com 10 Best Christmas Episodes ("Forgiveness and Stuff")
- "The holidays are a time for family, no matter what sort of terms you are on with them. This Christmas episode from the first season of Gilmore Girls shed new light on Lorelai’s complicated relationship with her parents, and showed us the heart behind Emily’s chilly demeanor. Plus, Santa Burger!"
-
EW’s Most Memorable TV Watch Moments of 2007: Lorelai sings karaoke to Luke
- "Remember the way she switched her gaze from Rory to Luke and the tone of the song changed completely and how that spoke volumes about her adult life?… Graham’s face was doing that vintage crumbly chin thing and she really can sing and Luke’s jaw went all clenchy and she wishes him joy and happiness."

Oddly enough, one of my favorite lines is in Season 7 when Rory comes home for Christmas. Gigi grabs Rory’s antlers from her hands, runs off, and Rory looks at Lorelai and says “Kid stole my antlers.” I love it!
I have to say I love the fight scenes, especially the one between Lorelai and Emily in “Rory’s first dance” (she’s going to get pregnant!).
I also love LG’s acting in general. Everytime she looks at someone, whether it’s Luke or Rory, it’s so meaningful.
My all favourite moments are the ones between Luke and Lorelai (even before they started dating). All of them. From the very first look and line of dialogue (Angle, you’ve got wings baby) I was hooked. I even like their first break up because the acting is so great and so moving.
Not to mention the last episodes of season 7 (the karaoke and the shopping car). I’m on the verge of crying everytime I hear Lorelai singing that she “will always love” him.
The chemistry between the actors was just perfect. I think I’ve never seen that on TV either.
I also like the two times Rory gave a speech (Chilton graduation and Farewell party) and acknowledged her love for her mother. That was such a great relationship. I don’t think a TV show has ever pictured so well a mom-daughter relationship.
I’m so lucky to know the exact same thing with my mum.
And of course I love the Friday night dinners. The interaction between the actors was just awesome.
Surprisingly, I don’t like Christopher but one of my favourite episodes is “Christopher returns” (1×15).
The list could go forever. So it’s easier to say what I didn’t like: episodes from 6×09 ( when Luke doesn’t tell Lorelai about April and their relationship starts going sour) to 7×11 (when Luke asks Lorelai to write a character reference letter).

Luke and Lorelai’s first brief break up, where she leaves him a long message and then panics and goes to his apartment to get the tape from the answering machine.
“I heard you when you said you’re out. Really, I did. I’m going to respect that from now on.”
I’m drawn to angsty moments. I thought that scene was so well acted by Lauren and Scott.
hopfully the shw comes back
1. Rory’s Chilton speech thanking her grandparents and her mother…very moving.
2. Luke/Lorelei’s first kiss.
3. Luke/Lorelei’s make-up kiss in the doorway – very hot.
4. Emily’s moment w/Richard when he was hospitalized for angina – very poignant.
5. Lorelei/Emily walking down the fashion runway and Emily working it.
6. Luke/Lorelei dancing to Sam Phillips song “Reflecting Light”. Great song and very romantic scene.
So many more, so little time to write them down.
i love all of season five, but especially the episode “Jews and Chinese Food” when Rory and Marty are watching Duck Soup and Logan shows up and invites them to dinner. i think it’s funny how jealous he gets. i also loved Rory’s graduation from Chilton. i love her speech!
i can’t say cuz i loved it all…but the episode i watch most is the one with the dance competition, “they shoot gilmores don’t they?”…i loved lauren in that one and then the end where lorelai holds rory as she cries cuz she broke up with dean…yeah good stuff…good stuff
i loved Lorelai singing to Luke. that was my top moment!
My favorite moments are Luke and Lorelai:
Season 4,Episode 21-Luke ask Lorelai for want dance with him and Lorelai said sure
Season 4,Episode 22-Luke and Lorelai frist kiss.
Season 5,Episode 4-Lorelai and Luke frist date
Season 6,Episode 1-Lorelai ask Luke for marry him and Luke said yes
Season 7,Episode 20-Lorelai was sing to Rory, but stop then look at Luke during sing “I Alway Will Love you” The Karaoke scene.
Season 7,Episode 22-End of Luke and Lorelai finally kiss
I just got the complete series collection for X-mas YAY!!!!
My favorite moments were always the fights because they were always so well written and performed by the actors.
Examples:
Lorelei and Emily Fight Season 1: Rory’s going to get pregnant.
Lorelei and Emily Fight Season 2: Over Lorelei’s wedding with Max
Other favorite moments include:
Emily Season 1: “She’s right Richard…I don’t know my daughter at all.”
Jackson’s marriage proposal.
The Luke and Lorelei dance and foreplay following Liz’s wedding.
THe teary look on Lorelei’s face at Rory’s high school graduation.
The tremendous drama that goes down at Emily and Richard’s vow renewal ceremony.
The look on Lorelei’s face right before she proposes to Luke.
The scene where Lorelei watches Rory sleep in the finale.
The Karaoke, of course.
And finally that glistening gaze Lorelei give Rory while she’s making her farewell address at her graduation party.
Alot of my favorite moments were always the subtle nuances of the actors face, generally Lauren Graham and Kelly Bishop since they are both such fantastic facial actors.
If it wasn’t the fights, it was the teary moments that I remember the most.
I think my favorite moment all year had to be in the last episode. Rory is ironing and she wants to know why Loralei isn’t upset that she is leaving and Loralei tells Rory that she isn’t ready to say good bye, she needs more time.
I cried pretty hard during that scene.
