I know many of us are dreaming of a day when Gilmore Girls will come back to complete itself with another season or movie, to tie up all the loose ends we perceived from the show. And to bring back a “world” that we love so much. Well, I wanted to highlight a couple of sites doing just that!
At http://www.freewebs.com/ggseason8 you’ll find an online attempt to bring a new season of Gilmore Girls to life!
All of the episodes are posted to an episode guide. Although I’m sure the scripts are not nearly as long as the real-life-scripts were, it’s fun to see the effort put together.
One other major effort was put forth on http://virtualgilmore.squarepins.org/episodes/index.php. This site has already FINISHED all of Season 8 and is now working on a Season 9!! What amazing work!! The first episode has so much spunk that I can’t wait to keep reading on!

I didn’t know about the first set of fanfiction, but the virtual gilmore stuff I gave up on after about 6 or 7 episodes into their season. In the beginning, it was okay, but it only got worse with every episode I read. The writing was bad, really bad, and Luke and Lorelai were totally unrecognizable.
I think it’s nice that people have an open mind and they think that they can continue Gilmore girls. But, it just doesn’t make any sense. I can’t picture it happening, and the writing is kind of bad! I think we should all just stick to making Gilmore girls tributes and putting them up on youtube!!!!!!!
The first one is really bad.
There were so many errors, I didn’t finish the first episode.
Second one was actually better…. but I found it boring.
At least it was free from obvious typos.
I haven’t read the first one yet but will give it a try soon. I am reading other fanfic stories and trying to read my books as well.
I did read the virtual Gilmore Girls one as it was being put up and thought that it was okay yet it could never be like the real thing. Nothing can. I did stick with it, though, even though I totally hated the whole Emily story line and I am a bit anxious to see what they will do with the season nine that they are working on.

Wow, it’s been awhile! Must make sure not to wait this long to comment on anything in the future! Anyway, I have been an avid fanfiction reader for quite awhile, and I have read an amazing Gilmore Girls Season 8 fanfiction. It is written in episode format, and there are 22 episodes. The author finished it a few weeks ago, and if I remember correctly, started it pretty soon after the show ended. It’s on fanfiction.net, which is a pretty big bunch of fanfictions for TV shows, movies, books, etc, and there are some really good ones on there if you look for them. Anyway, here’s the link-

I haven’t read the ones that you posted here but the one from Audirox it’s amazing, the characters are well written, the storyline is great and the format is really original.
I read the first chapter of the virtual 8th season, but I found it a little boring so i stoped but now I think I’ll give it another try ’cause the 9th season is going to have an amazing wiriter that I trully love.

I kind of enjoyed the virtual gilmores… I thought the writers were trying hard to keep up with the rhythm! but the first one! omg! typo, non-sense, unrealistic ideas (just the dreams of little girls), no respect for the characters… I’m just starting to read the audirox one and I don’t like it either. It has no peps! so I’ll look forward reading the 9th season of virtual gilmores.
I think that this fan fiction stuff is unecessary. I am a fan of Gilmore Girls and quite frankly I believe that this only destorys what was a great show.

So the first one is awesome, yeah a few typo’s, but hey who doesn’t have them every once and again??????? Yeah, you guys can tell her she sucks and she is a awful writer, but you try then let us judge you.
The second one, just wasn’t what I was looking for, but don’t get me wrong it was great.
I haven’t tryed any of the other one’s but I will look at them.

I understand that you think my writing is untasteful and bad, I’m really sorry you think that, all I was doing was trying to give closer to the people that wanted a Gilmore Girls Season 8.
I’m really sorry that none of you liked it. Maybe if you didn’t like it, it was because my version/words, weren’t for you, they were for people who needed them the way they are.
I will continue to write for the 22 people who all love it, and for the people who don’t you don’t have to read it.

I think that you are doing something great, I just satrted on the firts chapter and Im already hook on it. Ho know maybe you may be the one ho writes a book abouit t or the movie, any thing can happend. Go for it you have a talent!!!!!

As I conclude in the post of Jan 2, 2009 at 11:21 am in “Gilmore Girls Producer Sues”: The show was built on the sensitivity, the sensibility, the generosity, the capacity to love and the ability to share true life of all the fans that watched GG. Those human qualities still belong to the fans, and not to those who took them from the real life, throw them to the face of the viewers as if everything was granted, and coming from nowhere, and canceled it as if it was theirs. The basis of GG belongs to the people who have it inside their heart.
And that is truly expressed by those who are trying to revive the show. While they are doing so, they experiment many marvelous things, they happen to discover themselves, to know themselves in a better way. Of course, there are some critics, but critics may be good if given with an open mind. It’s also a way of expressing one’s feeling.
One day, everything will come to an end. But till then, consider all the benefit everyone gains from this courageous experience. And even more, it’s also a way to free oneself from the people who – as Jeremy states in his post of Dec 31, 2008 at 4:48 pm – “‘Screwed’ us on not finding out what Happned to Luke & Lorelai”.
GG Season 8 your page it’s great and all the episodies are great.
