Great work everyone! Yes, Andrew was the owner of the Stars Hollow bookstore, which is called the Black, White and Read Bookshop. It was also converted into a movie theater at one point!

Actually the name change occured in an earlier season which does lead to my question. Season 6 finished up on ABC Family today. Do we get to see season 7 or back to the pilot come this Monday???

The name change occurs Season 6 episode 6 not 7.
And as for mcityrk’s question. There starting back at the pilot again, though they will be playing episode 3×9 for Thanksgiving lol .

For some reason ABC Family is going back to the pilot on Monday. I don’t know if they didn’t buy the rights or wasn’t offered season 7. It is really making me mad. I know that I can watch season 7 on DVD, but it just isn’t the same for some reason.
Okay, I have a question. I knew that Andrew owned the Stars Hollow Book Store, but isn’t the Black, White and Read a totally different place? When you see Rory, Dean, Lane and Todd lined up to go into the BW&R, they are not on the street infront of the SHBS. And don’t they have to go up some stairs to get into BW&R? Can someone help here?

I think Cheri is right. The Black, White, and Read Bookstore is not the same place that Andrew owns. Andrew’s store is called Stars Hollow Bookstore.

I thought so too, but then couldn’t find it. All the wikis had them listed as the same thing, so perhaps the movie theater was just in the back room or something?

Actually, this is the second or third time in a row that ABC Family has re-started the series over at the end of season six…..hmmmmmm
It’s all good though, I still get a big kick watching Sookie start a kitchen fire with her kitchen towel in the pilot episode….too funny

No season 7?? Disapointed…..sure, surprised…. hardly. If ABCF had any interest in showing season 7, last November was the time to add it to the rotation so they could get maximum retained viewership before the series fans slowly drift away to other shows. However, the perception that season 7 had minimal great episodes relative to the preceeding years, that the per episode cost was too high, and that two complete rotations of the first 6 seasons almost exactly fills a calander year of shows probably made the no-show decision a no-brainer. So no major gripe from me to ABCF for that decision.
However, I do have a major gripe with ABCF about a decision they made in late July and early August related to the promotion of the Sisterhood Sequel movie. Do you remember the two weeks leading up to the premiere and the constant teasing during Gilmore Girls episodes about the terrifiic “Premiere Party” they had scheduled for the Sunday double showing of the first movie just before the sequel’s opening???? Have you seen any promotion that was so overpromise and underdeliver???? Nothing interesting discussed by the actresses and the movie scenes shown were less interesting than the trailers. I got the impression they were single handedly trying to kill the movie before it even opened!!! Whoever wrote and directed that debacle should have been fired the following day!!!!
