Gregg Henry Joins "Glee" Cast

Ausiello spilled a little tidbit today about casting of a Gilmore Girls alumnus, and it has everything to do with Gregg Henry, who has been prominent on this site this week (and not on purpose!).

According to the spoiler, Gregg Henry (Mitchum Huntzberger on Gilmore Girls) has been cast as Quinn Fabray’s (Diana Agron) dad in the new FOX series Glee. I saw the teaser premiere earlier this summer and thought it was a fantastic show. I was a little skeptical about a primetime musical comedy, but it was really quite good!

Glee is set to premiere on Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at 9/8c. No word yet about when we’ll see Gregg on the series, or in how many episodes he’s likely to appear in. I’ll keep you posted!

Here’s a preview of Glee:

Arieanna, I think tracking Gregg Henry could almost be a full-time job, as he’s been in a lot of shows. I just watched an episode from season one of Moonlighting (the show that made Bruce Willis famous and showed the comedic talents of Cybill Shepherd) and there was Gregg Henry playing a star of late-night radio. He’s a great actor, so it is fun to see him in different things – though I can see why people who only know him as Mitchum Huntzberger would not like him, because Mitchum was a pompous jerk. Keep up the excellent work on the site!
