Real Housewives of Orange County cast member Gretchen Rossi, expert on parenting and relationships, has been asked to weigh in on current press whipping girl Heidi Montag, who decided to tell everyone she’s had a million plastic surgeries in order to sell more records. It didn’t work and now everyone is slamming on her. Gretchen told Radar Online that she thinks Heidi looks like a “cat woman” and that she’s “all for women’s empowerment” but Heidi overdid it. 31 year old Gretchen does admit to getting Botox, because clearly at 31, she desperately needed it. She also gets in a plug to her Syneron medical laser shill website, The Gretchen Project.
A bit more measured was Real Housewives of New York City cast member Alex McCord who thinks Heidi is sending the wrong message to her young fans. She admits that since starring on RHONY, the most she’s done is blow dry her hair more often, which honestly, I don’t believe. I still look at Alex and want to condition my own hair out of sympathy.
What do you think? Should the Botoxed and tanned ladies, no strangers to feeling the pressure of ridiculous beauty standards themselves, be throwing stones in glass houses at Heidi Montag?

I have to say, Gretchen is right. Botox at age 31 is ridiculous, but at least she’s managed to avoid getting the DDD boob job that all her compatriots have, and Heidi does seriously look like a cat woman.
And by cat woman, I mean Jocelyn Wildenstein. “European exotic” my arse.

FO, I have to disagree with one point. Gretchen is OBSESSED with boob jobs. I think the only thing that has stopped her is she hasn’t found a guy willing to pay for it yet.
As for pots and kettles, eh, whatev. They’re all in the same shallow box together.
Alex’s hair did look better the second season but still not up to par. Don’t TELL me NY doesn’t have any good stylists.

Didn’t Gretchen have a head transplant? I guess that’s not “going under the knife”
And Alex can’t get enough product to fix that mess on her head because Simon bogarts all of it.

Nancy, Gretchen actually reminds me a lot of someone I used to be friends with – more or less a nice person with shady undertones, but hyper-sexual and rather inappropriate in conversation when guys were around – like Gretchen, it was an attention grabbing tactic. In any case, though not particularly busty, she was always commenting on boobs, especially around the menfolk…it was her way of drawing attention to herself and her own body.
I think Gretchen likes to talk about boobs for attention, but she’s certainly had more than enough time and opportunity to get breast augmentation herself, which she’s thus far opted not to do.
