In the following interview promo clip for the upcoming season of Real Housewives of Orange County, the women are polled as to who is the biggest “media whore” (their word, not mine). All of them, including nice lady Lynne Curtin and new girl Alexis Bellino answer, without hesitation: Gretchen Rossi. Gretchen insists that she’s not because the paparazzi is always following her everywhere. Then, naturally Vicki Gunvalson and Tamra Barney accuse her of calling the paps to photograph her and staging her photos. Lynne even calls her out on “not taking stuff off the Internet.”
Gretchen thinks a media whore is someone who wants to be in the media, but isn’t, and then bitchily adds, “like the other women.” That’s totally wrong — a media whore is someone who will do anything to be in the media, kind of like someone who shows up at the pumpkin patch when all the other celebrities are taking their kids there and you know it will be full of paparazzi. Or kind of like someone who goes to a red carpet premiere and then trash talks her co-stars with just a week or two left till the premiere of your show. Or, someone who shills for a plastic surgery company and then acts like it’s all out of the goodness of her heart. Seriously, Gretchen, just OWN IT. Say it loud, say it proud: you’re full of fame-hungry ambition and you’ll do whatever it takes, including French-kissing Slimey, to do it.

yes within 24 hours as the clerk has just recorded the ruling. Also I find it interesting it was done as a court order and not a judgement. I would only be able to speculate the difference. I understand a reporter is on his way down right now to get a court copy. I have commented to the reporter and understand it is a story that will run tomorrow.

My issue with the gretchen project isn’t its content or its mission, its that Gretchen is paid by a medical laser company to make the videos and she is not at all transparent about this relationship. Syneron registered the website and is the one sending out the weekly videos and a Syneron employee is uploading the episodes to Vimeo. Hope her lawyer is familiar with the new FTC regulations about endorsing products and being transparent about those relationships. For example, Jill Zarin is the brand ambassador for Kodak and plugs their products a lot on her Twitter. But, she’s been very forthcoming that she is paid by them to do so. That is the reason I call her out on that. Just be upfront about what you are actually doing.
As far as the rest, yes, you can call paparazzi to come photograph you. Do you think they were just chilling in the OC while all the celebs were back in LA shopping on Robertson and falling out of Chataeu Marmont? And to say that no one cares about the other women in the cast is ludicrous — all of the women’s exploits have made the tabloids in the past year.
And yes, DiBello, you caught me, I am a big ole media whore. After all, It takes one to know one.

No one is bringing up the other housewives. We are talking about Gretchen in this thread. I have never said she is a bad person or ugly, which is what you guys keep harping on. I’m saying she loves publicity, which is 100% true.

You know what, Heather? You are right and I am wrong.
Gretchen Rossi is the most magical creature that has ever danced in front of the lens of a camera. Every time she cries, an African village is replenished with water. Her videos are up there with auteurs like Ingmar Bergman and Werner Herzog. I hear Gretchen Project video #3 is under serious Academy Award consideration. While Obama may have won the Nobel Peace Prize, Gretchen was in second place. The Nobel Peace Prize committee was in a state of disarray over the arguments. When she walks, a trail of magical pixie dust follows. Right now, she is working on a cure for AIDS, and single handedly building new solar-paneled houses for all the people who lost their homes in the recent LA fires. She is the most wonderful, magical, fantastic person and I pledge to live the rest of my days in singular devotion to Gretchen Christine.
THANK YOU for allowing me to see the light. I was living in the dark, in my JEALOUS gretchen hatred for so long.

PS — NO MORE date rape talk. That’s a serious accusation and the only thing we have to go on is what we saw on the show, which was Ryan and Gretchen flirting, Ryan and Gretchen going into a bathroom, her turning him down, and then the both of them walking out. That episode was sketchy and gross, but all we have to go on is what we saw.

They have slightly different details. They are both from the same state, as far as I can tell on my end. At this point, it is best to just answer them in a ridiculous fashion. They will continue to use the same talking points over and over.

Yeah, Bravo TV moderates their comments really heavily. I try to stay away from that but if you get stuck saying the same things over and over again, start attacking other posters or start attacking me and the site that I work very hard on, I will step in. If you don’t like this forum, there are many other reality tv sites and the Bravo boards.
