I have to say that I really, really enjoyed last night’s episode. It had the drama and the humor set to a very comfortable temperature (at least for me).
Here are some of my random thoughts about the episode:
- I loved (LOVED) hearing Meredith casually mention babies. That whole scene was really cute and Derek’s surprise and pleasure was really evident.
- I thought Jennifer Westfeldt was great as Jen. I loved the way she sort of warmed her way into everyone’s business. Cristina’s “Who are you?” was hilarious.
- The whole proposal storyline was really fun to watch. I loved how the news spread all over the hospital while – somehow – not reaching Meredith’s ears.
- Bailey’s potential move toward Pediatrics was really well-done, I thought. She’s a natural.
- I have to say, Arizona is awesome. I love her character and her conversations with Bailey. She seems very genuine. I really hope ABC/Shonda decides to keep her around for a while. And wow, she wasted no time with Callie. lol
- The Cristina/Owen stuff was partly cheesy, but I thought it was really cute. I was expecting it to be worse from what I’d heard. And I loved the way Cristina calmed him down. And the whole scene with her reading while he was sleeping on her. I loved that.
- George. Wow. I can’t believe they even made him show up for work for that. Granted, his lines were very amusing.
- Izzie … she seemed relieved by the test results but we all know that’s not going to go anywhere good.
- Mark and Lexie … I hope they work it out. I can see why Mark is scared to tell Derek, because Derek doesn’t really take him seriously in terms of romance and love and that’s too bad because Mark seems to be falling hard.
- Callie. I love Callie. And it was great to see her smile again. But it concerns me that they’re making her self-worth and happiness rely so heavily on having a relationship. I would’ve preferred to see Callie become more independent before throwing Arizona into the mix. It worries me that things won’t work out because Callie’s too emotionally dependent.
- Alex and Izzie seem to be doing well, except there’s that big elephant in the room. I really hope everything works out for the best. I’d actually really love to see Alex and Izzie genuinely happy together.
- The Dixon/Cristina/Bailey hug was awesome. The least touchy-feely women of the bunch hugging each other. For medical reasons, sure, but they each got something out of that, I think. There was something very nice and unexpected about it.

What can I say… I’m a Callie fan and I hope things with Arizona will develop in a good way… some true love for Callie please
By the way, think Arizona should stay around for a long time as well, love her acting.
I think that this episode was so good, but I want to see all of them now!! LOL
It’s pretty obvious what’s going on with Izzie, ESPECIALLY with all of the spoilers out. She’ not anemic, meaning they mixed the tests up. Izzie is the one with aneurysm, and I’m almost positive that in the preview for next weeks episode when Alex says, “Page, Shepard now!”, I’m almost positive he is talking about Izzie. My guess is that she has a seizure, or something along those lines…..George is obviously suspicious, and I have a feeling that he may say something about the tests she was taking….I’m ready for this to all pan out….but Derek is gonna be so busy with Archer, so who will operate on Izzy?? AAAAhhh
Of course Derek didn’t propose in this episode. Anyone who thought he would is crazy, they are going to drag that crap out as long as they can….maybe by the 3rd episode of the arc…It was so cute.
I was against Mark and Lexie, but I am really starting to grow to like them. Mark really has feelings for Lexie, it is apparent, and I think that scares him, aaaah I could go on and on but I am work…the most important thing is that Izzie DOES have a brain aneurysm, and the tests were mixed thats my vote and im sticking to it!!
wich episode was the one who was related to beat out your heart (from private practice?)
It’s SOOO obvious that Izzie is the one who is “full of cancer” and the resident mixed up the two blood-draw samples (remember a tired looking lady who got Izzie’s diagnosis and Izzie got hers, which was anemia) since they were drawn at the same time.
