Wow, the next episode of Grey’s Anatomy is going to be incredibly intense gauging by this sneak peek.
What do you think of Derek in this clip? Do you think he’s going too far or do you think he’s right in wanting to save the patient at all costs?
It seems to me that the writers are really interested in exploring the difficult choices that surgeons have to make in the OR. We started with the three-episode arc involving William Dunn and Jackson. And we’ve moved into this other story arc with Jen and the baby and the tough decisions that must be made to save them. Is there really a best answer?
Looking forward to seeing how this all plays out.
If he’s taken out her temporal lobe and is working on her frontal lobe, if she survives, she’ll be a vegetable. (Nursing student here.) Addison’s right and Derek isn’t.

i think he should go with addisons plan and stuff. i just want him to propose already! but this is going to be a great episode!
She will definately be a vegtable. I think Derek or someone else should talk to her husband because he said save her at all costs. Derek feels obligated to him to keep her alive and obligated to her to save the baby. Tough decision. It will be interesting what the writers do and what this does to Derek’s character. Great writing.

i think that although derek made a mistake during the first surgery and feels obligated to save the mother’s life, he is going to the extremes. she won’t be able to be a mother or wife if she is a vegatable
