The press release for Grey’s Anatomy 5.18 is now out and about thanks to ABC, and now we know a few things about the episode.
Note that this information pertains to the episode airing on March 19 (not March 12, which is the next new episode).

**Spoilerish Alert**
Okay so first things first: The episode is entitled “Stand By me” and seems to revolve around Derek. Looks like whatever attempts are made during episode 5.17 “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” to convince him not to quit fail miserably.
So episode 5.18 will see Meredith taking the reigns and trying to get her McDreamy back in the OR.
Mark will be the source of much hospital buzz as he preps to face a particularly rare face transplant surgery.
Cristina, meanwhile, gets her very first solo surgery (yay!) but it appears she’s more focused on other matters – namely her friends.
Izzie continues to do her darnest to keep her condition a secret. We should find out what this condition is in episode 5.17.
