Last night’s brand new episode of Grey’s Anatomy opened the flood gates (so to speak) for a few of the characters’ storylines. It wasn’t the most action-packed of episodes (though it was water-filled), but I can see that Shonda and Co. are trying to move foward.
Couples Recap:
MerDer: The couple finally took the plunge and moved in together. Derek’s request to have Alex & Izzie threw Meredith for a loop, but she ultimately told Derek to back off. Go Mer. Though, I imagine that Izzie and Alex will be kicked out eventually.
Izzie/Alex: Looks like Alex got over himself by the end of the episode and took a step in the direction of not being a huge jerk to Izzie anymore. I mean, all he said was, “Hello,” but I think that one word was full of meaning. And it’s pretty obvious he’s crazy about Izzie.
Cristina/McG.I Joe: No progress here. Kevin McKidd will be back, though.
George/Lexie: No signs of progress there, necessarily, but Lexie was sweet to help George with his exam.
Callie/Erica: Not a lot of screen time, therefore not a lot of progress, but it looks like they’re moving forward with their relationship. If we can call it that. Doesn’t look like they’ve gotten anywhere beyond the kiss at the end of the last season.

I thought the episode was okay. It wasn’t the best, it wasn’t the worst. I feel like it was one of those episodes that’s just setting up what’s to come, rather than being one of those episodes in which things happen. But I enjoyed it. Their lunch scene was wonderful. I think the show is at its best when it focuses on the friendship between the original interns.
What did you think? Is the fifth season turning out to be a disappointment or are you cool with how things are shaping up?
HI guys! i have not see this new epsode but i cant wait! I really love grey’s but i dont know..i think something is missing ..some emotion..some big big thing dont you think? i love them..merder we see the way but the others characters are a little lost..the chief is now mean lol i dont like very much of the new chief..fine they scrud up but becoming mean is not the solution..i just hope shonda have really big surprises for the fans eheh thanks kiss **
I thought it was really good! It was nice to get back to the relationships again– like you said. The lunch scene was good. I am excited that the characters are coming back to who they are– this promises to be an awesome season! Think Christina will end up seeing the shrink?!
Now i’ve seen the episode and i like it!
maybe even more than the premiere..it seems that there’s something now =D poor Izzie..i think she deserve better, christina was awful and so was alex..but at the same time..there’s something there..right? and i like it 
merder was fun..and i really think tha she must stay with the shrink..and christina should go too. Erica and Callie and Sloan it’s weird and fun lol hope george pass the exam and realize that lexie is crazy about him. let’s see..can’t wait for the next episode. This one was good!
I like it I like it! It’s still very empty drama-wise but like the article says maybe its just an intro for more to come so I’m looking forward to it. I especially love that they are continuing with the character’s relationships instead of focusing too much on random patients. I love the callica relationship, and its a good thing that Christina is not too accepting of everything with MerDer Alex is such a jerk! I wish Izzie would just retaliate in a big way to show him he’s not all that.
Anyhoo I can’t wait for next thursday!
I thought the episode was good… Finally. It felt like the good old days when the episodes were focused on the main caracters and not the patients. The flood was a little much though…Can’t wait to see tomorrow’s episode
I think the two women doctors playing kissy face is pathetic. I also think we could do with out there comments on sex between two women or the attempt to have sex between two women. That’s why God made Adam and Eve. Male and female. This is not anything people want to hear about or see on regular TV. Go put it on a porn channel.
Prejudiced people like you should not have the right to write on these sites N. I’m not feeling the Callie/Erica thing because i hate Erica’s caracter, not because they are two women. And spare me with GOD. IF there is a god, he also created people that were attracted to their same sex, just like he created people that are closed minded like you.
