Well, the first episode of season five has just finished. What did everyone think? Was it everything you’d been waiting for? A total disappointment? Maybe a little of both?
I’ll come back with my thoughts tomorrow to give everyone a chance to see it without spoiling anything. But as always, feel free to share your opinions in the comments! I’ll try to track down any songs you might be wondering about as well. So if you’ve got questions, feel free to ask!

I really enjoyed the episode. Rose’s gotcha about the pregnancy thing made me laugh out loud, but she also pissed me off when she got all bitchy. She had been so funny in season 4.
I admit it, I’m a Callica fan. I really liked what they did with it, not over the top or overbearing of the bigger plot lines but still addressing it with the same dignity as the other relationships/complexes on the show.
I thought the episode was good, but i was a little disappointed. There seem to be to much time spent on the limo accident shenanigans and not enough time explaining what happened at the end of season 4 with the main characters. Maybe the upcoming episodes will get into that a bit more. Also the whole christina/Meridith BFF story line might just be at a halt this season, and might I add the scenes between Callie an Hahn were extremely awkward!!!!!!!! I suppose this is what the writers were shooting for… anywho kudos greys!

I started yelling at the tv when Rose said she was prego. My boyfriend was looking at me like I had five heards. The she said she was joking. LOL

omg i loved it. i thought it was perfect. but im reallly mad that we have to wait two more weeks for the next episode!!! anyway it was reallllly and im just so glad its back

Completely disappointed. There was little to no chemistry between characters, the storyline was too long, and overall, the entire episode was depressing.
I thought it was really disappointing. There was way too much medecine and not enough storyline about the characters that we love. To me, season 4 was not too good so I was hoping for an incredible return this season. Obviously that did not happen.
I thought it was great after dealing with last season. Having Denny back was just amazing, and I sure wish there was a way to bring him back. I liked that we know Izzie still thinks of him b/c it seemed like last season they totally ignored that it ever happened. I actually enjoy that Alex is an a$$ – it brings conflict into a situation that would be boring otherwise. Meredith was super annoying – I enjoyed that Christina told her where to go. Ice Pick was totally unbelievable. Wouldn’t it have melted inside in a heated hospital with body heat around it? I would have told Rose where to go if I was Derek – I wish he could have fired her for being so damn crazy. He was WAY too nice about it. There was WAY too much limo drama – I think those secondary characters got more camera time then the ones we know and love. Oh and Lexie is annoying and seems like a little girl compared to McSteamy if they hook them up.
I thought it was really disappointing, and somewhat boring. The characters have lost a lot of chemistry, and the entire episode seemed piece-mealed together. There was really very little plot development (aside from the only really good part, the chemistry between Christina and the new doctor), and while I remain a Grey’s fan, I’m not exactly holding my breath in excitement for the next episode. This one certainly didn’t leave me desiring more! Plus, what was the thing with Izzie and Denny? I didn’t really understand it, and it seemed out of place in the context it was presented.

I just watched it. Over all, I really liked it. I agree that the limo storyline was just… too much. I care more about my characters really than the medicine. I cried when Denny came back. Just a single tear. For me, it was Izzie realizing that Alex wasn’t a good man. Her good man died and she took a moment to remember him while Alex was busy stomping on her.
What I am interested in is the next episode. Looked awesome!
I loved having Grey’s back again. For me it was good to see a continuation of where season 4 left off. Nothing drastic or over the top. There was promise and hope for the upcoming episodes and that left me with a good feeling. While I do agree that there was much time spent on the limo story line, their stories are reflections of the lives of our beloved cast members, so I didn’t feel like I was being robbed of time from the regulars.
Overall, I’d give it a 9
well,it is a song between 34:29-35:27..i’d like to know who sings it or,at least,the name of song :d. I enjoyed watching this episode and i’m glad that Meredith was dreaming and McDreamy didn’t die. I can’t wait to see episode 3 and what happens with Christina and Major Hunt.

I am SO glad that the dying Derek scene was a dream; though Ellen did an extremely good job!
I have to say that I was disappointed too. I hate Meredith in this episode she’s like freaking out. But Christina is really funny the ice pick was absolutely out of place. I loved Alex in the first part this with the space ship was very cool and than he was acting like a complete ass. I hate that Izzie is so nice to Mer who made the thing between Alex and her really stuped. Lexie is kind of sweet but George is like an idiot. Rouse is worst than ever! What are these people doing? And the hall atmosphere is gone. I felt like this was another hospital with another characters. I really want the next episode to be good! I am (and maybe everybody here) HUGE Grey’s fan and I can’t stand this boring story line…
I feel like as a huge fan, I noticed everything and have an opinion on it all. First off the most annoying thing was how long they spent on the lame, bad acting, dumb storyline of the patient guest stars. It was just plain stupid. I agreed with the ones that said that Derek was way too nice to Rose. What a wack job. And that Mer just needed to grow up. I mean damn how many times can he take her back so then she can crap all over her chance? Please woman! They need to relax on Alex and let him act normal, he goes from being a jerk to a big cryer in 2 seconds and back. Jeesh. Over it. And i know they felt bad when Burke left Cristina but come on since when would she let a perfect stranger take care of her like that? Don’t think so. It wasn’t believeable. The chief became a whiner which was also not his character. Its weird to see how good a friend George can be and then how crappy of a boyfriend he would be. What is that? And poor Miranda was over looked and her storyline at home was so interesting. I wish they would of spent time giving us what we waited for… good storylines about the relationships and good medical stories with better acting guest stars. Man that whole Limo thing was lame and lasted way too long. But you know I’ll still watch cause its an addiction like Sex and the City. You knew the movie wasn’t that good but your such a fan of the show that you will always come back.
I actually was a little disappointed…I mean not even ONE MerDer kiss…what the hell?? And that bitch Rose made me scream… I mean..stupid stupid stupid woman…
I hope that there are kisses next ep… I think they are together…great couple, “we are moving in together but we don´t kiss”… I hated that. Love was definitely missing that episode.
I was amazinging wonderful! More than I expected. I loved when Dr. Hottie was stapleing his own leg and Christina got turned on! The metaphors of the three ladies and Meredith was needed for her to know that Derek was going to work out, at least for her to move to the next level.
Ich think that Rose IS pregnat. Sie only backed of because he had looked so upset. I think that Rose shows up later with a huge belly or a baby maybe at the same time as Meredith

I enjoyed but was wondering who sings the song in the previews for the this episode? Sounds like Amy Winehouse but don’t have a clue, anyone know?
A grown woman telling a man she’s pregnant is funny? That’s the best these writers can do? I’m willing to bet this show is done after this season. Less than two years to completely ruin a show & this is the third year of turning it around? I keep thinking if the show is still on that perhaps she finally learned, but no, it gets worse each time. These actors need to start bailing!
