1. Meredith will be legally dead for another couple episodes. We will see her visit with the Bomb Guy and Denny. She will bring back a message to Izzy from Denny as well as tell Denny how much Izzy meant to him. She is there to resolves things for those two. She tells the Bomb Guy how many lives he did save including her own.

2. Meredith left the hospital before talking to her mom. Derek was mentioning things to her that she needed to resolve things with her mom. Before she found out her mom relapsed back into her lost state, she didn’t get to say what she wanted. Now she will and her mom will die. Her mom will tell her that her life was anything but ordinary. That she is a fine doctor and she did a wonderful job taking care of her but its time to move on. Mom will take Meredith’s place.

3. Addison will realize that she loves Alex because he genuinely cares for people now as is apparent by the caring of the pregnant lady. They will eventually move into a relationship.

4. With Izzy having a “rebirth” or “rockstar” experience, she now feels confident to say what she has been holding in. She tells George what she has been wanting to say for sometime. That his marriage to Callie was a mistake. But that it goes on.

5. I think Callie will realize that George can not keep their relationship professional while at work and seek to end things. Then she finds out she is pregnant.

6. I think Christina will realize that she and Burke really aren’t meant to be together and that being a doctor is the only thing that matters to her. I do believe that she will rescue Meredith when everyone else gives up.

7. I think Derek realizes the impact of what life without Meredith would be like and he proposes the minute she is back. He has to keep his “Ferry Boat”!

8. I think the Chief will revoke his resignation and stay on board as doctor and so will end the competition between him and all the other doctors.

9. I think Miranda Bailey will make chief surgeon since everyone else thinks that is why she opened the clinic. Its because of the way she opened the clinic without waiting to be told how to do it.

Just my two cents worth, so here is hoping all of it ends well. I don’t think the writers will revive Meredith too soon,but leave her in a Coma to work other stories around the friends not being able to talk with Meredith.

1. Meredith will be revived-she can be revived because 1) she is hypothermic and though usually one cannot survive without oxygen for more than 4-6 minutes, hypothermia causes the body to conserve engergy for the major organs (heart, brain, lungs, etc.) so, once they warm her up she could be okay.

2. Addision will be the one who saves her. Recall Addision recommended those two warming techniques when she first walked in the trauma rooom? I also think Christina will barge in and yell at Meredith-tell her she is her person and she can’t leave because she has to tell her she is engaged to Preston and if Mer doesn’t wake up, she can’t get married without Mer, will be desperately un-McHappy and it will be all Mer’s fault!

3. Mer’s mother dies. Recall, she told Richard two episodes ago that Mer had a lot to learn and she would not be able to teach her. She made Richard promise to take care of Mer. Mer’s mom did not yet have surgery-recall all non-emergency surgeries were taken off the board due to the ferry accident. So, either an OR opens up and Mer’s mom goes in-which I think is unlikely since Preston, the Chief, Christina-everyone-is traumatized by the Mer thing-or, Mer’s mom has one of her tachycardia events and her heart stops while all the interns and attendings are down in Trauma 1 with Mer.

4. It could also be that the person who dies and “sticks” is the baby of Jane Doe. Alex and Addision have been hovering over the woman due to her baby and Alex is very attached already. Maybe the baby dies, Alex bonds further with the woman who is now grieving the loss of her baby?
