ABC has officially launched the Grey’s Anatomy Magazine’s first issue. The ABC.com site has an inside sneak peek at some of the content, for those of you hadn’t seen it yet. It includes an interview with Shonda Rhimes, where she answers burning questions like, “How did you come up with the Grey’s Anatomy concept?”

I dont’ know if the subscription is worth it yet, but i think it will be. the mag is only $7 newstand, I bought it news stand cause i get the subscription after i saw it. the mag is great, you have multiple interviews with cast and crew, lots and lots of pics!!!!! a center poster double sided. one with the whole gange and one just mer/der. the first one also has season by season recap. I’m only about half way, and I love it. if you like all the teasers on the website then this is a little more indepth.
Lots of fluff and the magazine there isn’t very many pages – very cool to look through but probably not worth the $7. Head to Barnes or Borders and spend an hour looking through it there.
i bought right when it came out and was originally shocked at the price, but i the realized that it was kinda like a colectable. I think that this edition was ok but the thing is it wasn’t really targeting fans that much. everything that was in it I already knew. I think that the next one will be much better now that they introduced the character and talked about what has already happened in the past seasons.
Is it only available thru a subscription or can you buy it in the stores?
I was wondering if anyone knows where you can buy it other than in a subscription online…anyone know?
For this first magazine i was lucky because a friend of mine was in Texas.
But i’m from The Netherlands and i don’t know if i also can subscribe to the magazine, 1 yearbook and 1 special issue.
I’m afraid not, but i hope so.

For those of you looking to get the issue in a store rather than the subscription or to check it out before you subscribe. I saw it at Walmart. I also imagine bookstores like Barnes and Noble, Borders and Waldenbooks should have it. Newstand stores like Mayer’s usually carry that type of special magazine as well. But Walmart gives a 10% discount on books and magazine’s I believe, so I’d check there first.
I’ve gotten pretty much all of them, and I do think that if this magazine is going to stay in business, it’s going to have to come up with more than checkmarks, little notes, and lots of pictures. There is a somewhat mature audience following this show that doesn’t want pictures, but want better articles written in it. Rhimes wouldn’t ever accept the writing in this for her show, and we…as her fans, want the same for the magazine! Shows what a good writer can do. Support the strike!
Why did I buy so many issues? I must have an addicting to Grey’s, huh?
P.S. That’s “addiction”. Oh, and my screen name is definitely about my opinion of having Addison leave Grey’s for “Private Practice”……
