It’s uncertain whether this is a spoiler or a snippet still in rumor mode, but considering the source is Michael Ausiello of TV Guide, it may as well be true. According to Ausiello someone who shared “a red-hot smooch” in the finale might be pregnant. Hmm.
Why do I have the sneaking suspicion that if this is true the person in question will be Callie? Considering all the time spent in the on-call room with McSteamy I can certainly see her being the most obvious choice. And Shonda did imply that McSteamy would be involved in the Callie/Hahn relationship to some degree come next season, so a pregnancy would certainly add some drama to the mix.
So – assuming it’s true – what do you think of this latest development? And who would you want it to be? If anyone!

I bet it will be Callie. As of right before the finale no one was sleeping together but her and McSteamy and i love the two of them together. I really don’t like her and Hahn together, i know it will portray a whole other side of the show’s relationships, but Callie seems like the person who need a real man.

okay. a lot of you aren’t gonna like this, but thinking about the plot of season 5, and the storyline of meredith-derek-rose, the pregnant person could be rose. this would add a major twist to the story, because if you think about it, meredith and derek are pretty much already set.
but i am really really hoping it is callie b/c she is such a slut.
i do have a vibe that meredith is the one that is rumored to be pregnant…im really hoping that my guess is so true coz if not…..grrrrr..!!!i will really kill rose if shes the one pregnant and i will not watch greys ever again!!!(im kidding when i said i will not watch greys again)
I was not a fan of the Derek & Rose “romance”… I hated it actually, and if she ends up being pregnant I will be really disappointed! Just let Derek and Mer be together!!!!!!!!!

If you were a guy, and there was a MissSteamy who slept with every guy in the hospital, would you call the guy insane if he didn’t want to end up with MissSteamy? (not just sleep with her, but be a real couple with her.)
Sexist and stereotypical, I say. A woman who sleeps around is a slut, but a man-whore is so desirable as a catch that no sane woman would pass him up.
As regards to the original question, I hope it’s not Callie, she has enough “new” things to deal with… I think it may be MerDer, as they are the “major” couple of this series.
i think that it’s ethier callie, with all the sex she had with mcsteamy. The other person it could be is Meredith, we don’t know what they did that night after the kiss in a sea of candles, they could have possibly had sex, the thing is, we don’t know. we could learn who is pregnant in like 5×05, and by that time, meredith and derek could have, and most likely had sex. we just don’t know….

for 2 reasons. 1 she is going to have to learn to trust herself, because ellis never wanted her and because she was a surgeon like meredith, she had no time for her. mer will be scared she’ll do the same.
then #2 she will have to learn to trust derek. because thatcher left when she was 5. she is going to have to learn that derek loves her with his whole heart and more, and if they have a child, it’s what he wants, he wants a life with her, and she does too, but wanting it and learning to deal it with it are 2 different things, and learning to deal with it takes time and trust.
hayley why would you say callie’s a slut, what exactly makes her a slut? She was faithful to her husband, george and she had sex with mcsteamy for personal reasons. she doesnt really sleep around with every tom, dick and harry on the show. And if callies a slut then everyone at the hospital are sluts, for sleeping with Mark, if that was your reason.
And what about Izzie?I mean, we suppose she has sex with Alex at the end..so why not?!
But actually I don’t know how much pertinent and logical this event would for the rest of the show!

I honestly think that it will be Callie. I was thinking that it was going to be Rose, but i read somewhere that Rose’s contract on the show was only for 4 episodes so goodbye to her, and I am straight as a board but dont have anything agaist lesbians or bisexuals, but I dont know that ABC will keep a homosexual relationship on the show because of ratings. i feel like they did the kiss between her and Hahn to make a statement and cover their butts about the comment that Burke said to George about being a “queer”. I think that a pregnancy for Callie would be the easiest way to stop a homosexual relationship from occuring fulltime on the show….(plus they already have joe and his guy on there)… these are just my ideas so take them or leave them….. I want derrick and mer to be together
I really hope that it is Merideth. She reliezed that she wants and needs to be with Derick and this will help her grow up and stop feeling so sorry for herself. If some how it does end up being Rose I will be sooooo mad!

@Kristi, i agree with you when you say that a pregnancy may be the easiest way to stop a homosexual relationship from occuring fulltime on the show…maybe in case the whole callica storyline gets too complicated to write because they dont fully understand the dimensions of tht complicated ‘im not gay but why do i have feelings for you’ storyline, so a pregnancy with sloans baby could affect that. I cant wait 2 see what happens in season 5, no matter what im still a fan of the show (&callie/sara rules!!!!)

Well Michelle actually they consulted a gay and lesbian group to do that confusion accurately, so maybe they dont want to end it there?? I really hope its not callie cos id love to see callie and erica together, wow a normal same-sex relationship in primetime, what a first! And yes she was sleeping with mcsteamy (which does NOT make her a slut! firstly who cares who other people sleep with and its sexist that a woman who is confident sexually is seen negatively, but also she was only sleeping with one guy and not cheating on anyone) but there is such a thing as protection so its not necessarily her just cos of that…

@ trillan_069 yh i know tht i read the interview and all at afterellen.com but i still have my doubts, i would so love for it to work out but i dont see it lasting for the entire season (even tho i want it to)…as long as callie and erica are happy in the end i dont care (whether 2gether or separate). Callie just needs someone 2 love her back the way she loves them whether it be mark or erica or whoever i just need callie 2 be happy this time + season 3/4 suckd for her up until she met erica and that sez alot abt them as a couple.

Personally, I think Meredith is already pregnant. Due to the fact, that Meredith doesn’t go and sleep around after derrick and her agree to see other people. They had continued to have sex for most of season four and in one of her therapy sessions with Dr. Wyatt she is like “it’s only been five weeks since…” and then she hessitates when Dr. Wyatt asks five weeks since when. And then when she is waiting for him in the candles…..and he finally shows she is all like “this is where the kids will play….” I know that she knows he wants kids…but who knows for sure if anyone will ever have kids….so this maybe was her hint to him that she is pregnant. But I don’t, I really hope that it is her and derrick that end up pregnant…..and get married…they really deserve each other. : )

Okay, so Shonda came right out and said that Callie was not gonna be preggo.
That leaves Mer and Izzie,
Honestly, every season Shonda throws a shocker at us, like Season 1: Holy crap, he’s McMarried!, Season 2: Christina’s pregnant (yeah, that storyline was REAL important), The whole Denny LVAD thing, Mer and the bomb, MerDer sex, Season 3:George and Callie marry, George and Izzie cheat, Mer almost drowns herself (twice), Ellis gets memory back and croaks, the whole Christina/Burke wedding thing.
So basically what I’m saying is Shonda will make it either someone unexpected (Izzie/Lexie/Adele)
or it’s just some weird play on words, like everything else she says.
Whoever may be pregnant, I hope that they believe that this little one’s coming is a great gift and not a “mistake”.
i want the person to be Izzie since Izzie and Alex made love at the finals. Am I the only one that thinks Izzy said at the end of the last episode (3/12) that she is pregnant? When she is talking to Christina she first says she has cancer and then it looks like she says “I’m pregnant”.
No, I just Googled this for that exact reason. I swore it looked like she said she had cancer and then she said “and I’m pregnant.” I asked all of my friends who watch but none of them caught that. I DVR it so I am going home to rewatch that scene and she if I am in fact correct. I am glad someone else noticed this!
I went back and rewatched it and now I’m having second thoughts. It looks like she might actually say “In my brain”. Hard to tell, but either way I think she still might be pregnant if the rumor about someone being pregnant is true.
Yep me too. I made my husband watch with me to see what he thought. He was asking the whole time, who cares?
He also thought that was what she said at first, but after watching a few more times we both figured out as well that she said in my brain. Oh well.
