According to Michael Ausiello, come the end of the season five premiere we’ll all have “a really good idea” where Alex and Izzie are headed in terms of their romantic involvement. What that means, I have no idea!
In addition, he dished out some news about Callie and Erica (code name: Callica). Ausiello tells us that there will be “an awesome, awkward, totally endearing scene between the two of them at the end of the premiere.” Also, there’s a rumor going around that Callie and Erica may not be the only characters involved in gay-related activities this season. An intern casting call asked that applicants “be comfortable making out with both men and women.”

Ausiello revealed that he watched the premiere episode already and “really enjoyed it. Turns out Kevin McKidd is all that and a bag of chips.”
And the spoilers guru also suggests that McSteamy might be getting a new love interest: “The show is casting the role of a female patient who develops a multi-episode crush on one of the docs.”
