According to Digital Spy, a spinoff based on Grey’s Anatomy is in the works with Kate Walsh as the star.
The paper claimed today that the spinoff drama would be centred on the character Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, played by Kate Walsh. It added that a two hour pilot, to be written by Grey’s creator Shonda Rhimes, could air as early as May.
As early as May? A summer show?
If true, I’ll be tuning in. But … I’ll miss Addison on the main show (assuming it means she’s leaving it).

i think its a lie, just like all this other crap i have been hearing, addison is staying, she has to, shes a major asset to the show, and they would be stupid to make a spinoff.
For me the news of this Michael something from tv guide is just disappointing!(if it’s true) because a lot of things will change especially the one with Addison leaving the show. And a spinoff! come on if they do a spinoff it will be a total different thing now. I can’t see Addison or anyone else in the cast leaving Grey’s, it will be so sad. If these things are true I think Grey’s wouldn’t be interesting anymore.

That’s nice!!! I’m wondering if Shonda will cast Jeffery Dean Morgan in that show as well,since the other one he was to star in has been put on the back burner for now. If he is interested, it would be a great pairing!!! Ya think???Does anyone else feel the same?
No Way! As much as I would lovvee to see Kate Walsh have her own show, she HAS to be on grey’s anatomy! half the things on the show happened because of her!!
I think that a spin-off show would be an okay idea,, as long as Addison doesn’t leave greys!! if she left the show just wouldn’t be the same, i admit that i didn’t like her in the beginning but she has definately grow on me!! her and mcsteamy are both amazing!!! i don’t think either of them should leave the show ever.
I think that Dr. McSteamy will stay celabate for the 60 days and Addison will give him a chance and they will both move back to NY. That’s my prediction!
Only if McSteamy follows. Then I’d probably just watch Addison’s Anatomy instead of Grey’s Anatomy. She’s almost the only reason I watch Grey’s in the first place.
i think the cast is getting jsut a little too big, and im pretdicting that the new jane doe will become part of the cast. maybe not permanently, but for a good while. It will be sad for addison to leave.
It’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard. I mean get real, Addison is the center of most of the drama that happens in that show. It’s why Meredith and Derek couldn’t be happily ever after in the beginning. She is an amazing actress and one of the most important parts of the show. A spinoff would be a disaster, and if she left Grey’s, I probably wouldn’t even be half as interested in it anymore.
I HATE the idea. If it actually happens, then I hope its a total faliure and she wishes she’d never aggreed to it. I know I sound incredibly bitter and harsh, but I’m sorry I think the idea is absolutly HORRIBLE!!!!!!!!! It’s down right REPULSIVE!
I think the idea of any of the main characters of Grey’s Anatomy leaving the show is absoultely a bad idea. As you can see none of the responses to this idea are positive. Ihe show has only been on for not even three seasons…its getting such good reviews and everyone around is addicted to this show. That would definitely mean losing so many viewers who love the show just the way that it is. Just like sequels….a show/movie is never as good when its fans

We as fans become wrapped up in the whole drama and stories and its just not the same when you start taking characters out and adding others in. Maybe this is why the show FRIENDS was always such a hit. We were all so obssessed with their lives and loved the show. We loved the characters and they all stayed through all ten seasons. It just isnt the same otherwise. I for one would not watch anymore if they started taking actors/actresses out and putting new ones in. That takes away from the whole storyline that attracted us to the show to begin with.
I think that Marideth and Derick should totally get married. I also really don’t like Addison that much but i would like it if her and Alex got togther.
NO WAY!! spinoffs never work and I love addison too much for it to not work out for her. shes amazing. greys anatomy works because of addison. without her the entire show would be sooo boring. now that addison isnt in greys as much, im actually starting to stop watching. hopefully mcsteamy will do the 60 day thing and addison will give him a chance..but then again i want her with alex. ADDISON DONT LEAVE GREYS…its a big mistake. stay!!! we need u
i dont like the spin off because addison is a big asset on the show and i really like her character. i think all the main character should stay at SGH, then i love to see addison and alex get back together.
