Grey’s doesn’t return until January 8, 2009, but that doesn’t mean the spoilers aren’t already making the rounds. The episode “Wish You Were Here” sees two new guest stars emerge: Eric Stoltz and Jessica Capshaw. As we know, Stoltz will be playing a serial killer on death row and Jessica Capshaw joins the Seattle Grace team as the new pediatric surgeon, Dr. Arizona Robbins.
Here’s what else we know about the episode:
- Bailey teams up with Dr. Robbins to save a young patient who’s “near and dear to her heart.” Could that be her son? Another family member?
- Eric Stoltz guest stars as William the Serial Killer who gets admitted into Seattle Grace. This move “stirs anger in Derek and further erodes Meredith and Cristina’s friendship.” Sounds uplifting.
- Callie and Sloan team up to fight their intern attractions. What that means exactly I have no idea, but I suspect it has something to do with the on-call room. Any other ideas?
- And Izzie finally admits to Alex that she can see Denny
I’ve also heard rumblings that Jessica Capshaw’s character might have something going on with Callie. I believe the actress will only be guest starring for three episodes or so, so I guess it will be a very short romance, or perhaps just part of Callie’s fight against her attraction for Sadie.

I believe the “sounds uplifting” bit was sarcastic meaning that it really won’t be. “ruther erodes Meredith and Christina’s friendship” means that they will either fight more or something along those lines…in other words, they won’t be making up anytime soon. As for “stirs anger in Derek” perhaps he is mad that they have to treat him or the way they have to treat him…my guess is that the serial killer is going to have some sort of brain problem other than the fact that he is a killer.

I agree with a lot that i have read about wanting to see more of Mer & Der !! Their love story is what got us hooked and has kept us going, but there has to be more to Grey’s Anatomy than just those two. I love the Lexi and Sloan idea. If they end up falling in love and she changes Sloan into more of a Dreek that would be cool. Christina’s character drives me nuts. I just really don’t like her at all. I love Izz, but not the whole Denny thing, they need to go ahead and get where they are going with that and find a new role for her…….and Alex. Alex is a hottie and they need to give him some more of the spot light!! He could bring tons of new viewers to Grey’s if they give him a nice role!! All in All I love this show and trust they know what they are doing, afterall they have kept me lovin it this far!! The only thing I want to know is, does Izzy really have a brain tumor and is she leaving the show……that is the rumor, but I hope she isn’t leaving!
