Grey's Anatomy Spoilers: MerDer Proposal, Cristina/Owen, More on Izzie

Wow, talk about spoilerville! This week’s Ask Ausiello did not disappoint in the Grey’s Anatomy spoiler department. Ausiello went all out with some important details about what’s to come.

This week he focused on the highly anticipated MerDer proposal. When will it happen? Where will it happen? Along with some further details about Cristina and Owen. Hint: Last week’s little push was just foreshadowing. And when will the Izzie news finally reach the rest of Seattle Grace?

With regards to Izzie, it sounds like tonight’s the night. Cristina will be spilling the beans to both Alex and Bailey before she performs her solo surgery. What will happen after that? We’ll have to tune in to find out! But I can envision a lot of emotional scenes coming up in the weeks (hours?) to come.

Continuing the trend of unhappy news, we learn that last week’s scene in which Owen pushes Cristina somewhat violently is not the big “Owen hurts Cristina” spoiler that we’ve been hearing about. What’s to come (next week) is much worse. According to Ausiello, “Owen strangles the you-know-what out of her.”

But in happy news (because thankfully there is some of that), we’ve also learned that the proposal will happen on – get your calendars ready – March 26. In the episode entitled “Elevator Love Letter” Derek finally pops the question. Three guesses as to where he does it. Hint: It’s in the title of the episode.

And what about this wedding rumor? Is it happening this season? Ausiello implies that it’s possible but he didn’t come right out and say yes.

So we’ve got gloomy news with a little happy news. All in all, I’m really excited about the rest of the season.
