i just read the writers blog on ABC and they say its not going to be easy for our new favorite couple, i hope its not horrible either, it should be real, like my crush on Callie haha

Lauren I was using ‘out’ loosely, what i meant was, having them in the public eye, not necessarily the SGH community but the general world of viewers. The image of two sexy, intelligent women having a relationship would be a HUGE step.

Thats what I meant…..I agree, I hope it doesn’t fall into negative cliches….that’d suck

I think the word “out” should be used loosely in this case. Neither Erica or Callie are out to anyone except for Sloan, and that was just because he got wrapped up in it.

I know the coming out story has been told over and over and OVER again, but I can never seem to get enough of it. I just hope Grey’s doesn’t fall into negative cliches where Callie gets pregnant and Erica goes crazy. Cristina Yang already covered both of those.

Wegrl you are completely right about all points……its not a sudden discovery however, she’s allowing herself to be okay with it, with Mark’s help….They really wrote the finale very well, they had so much pent up! haha. I’m really excited to see what happens next season. I really like Erica and Callie together, it’s really going to make a different in the lesbian community, having two women out and strutting their stuff……..I’m also sick of Mer/Derk will they won’t they, get over it……i think that’s why they had 5 kisses instead of making us all pissed by just having dumb and dumber kiss….its really old now….but Callie and Erica are going to bring in a totally new demographic…..i’m just so excited

Also, I’ve met MANY men and women who didn’t realize or hadn’t acknowledged that they are attracted to people of the same sex until much later in life. I had a couple of professors, in fact, that were married for decades and had children before acknowledging their queerness. It happens in real life, so I’m very happy for the writer of Grey’s for exploring this story line. And I also agree that it’s well written.

It’s totally normal to fall in love with someone even if they are the same sex. Callie isn’t suddenly discovering she’s bisexual. She might feel a bit of an attraction to Hahn and it’s freaking her out because she’s always been really into men. It can happen. She’s fighting what she feels because she doesn’t understand it and she always wants to have sex with Mark because it proves she’s straight. Labels of gay and/or straight are what drive people crazy. She can fall for whomever. It shouldn’t matter what sex. They’re actually writing it very well.

I’m also kinda sick of the ‘now they’re together, now they’re not’ thing with Meredith and Derek. Just decide one way or another. Please.

I’m waiting to see what they’re going to do with Christina. It’s time for her to be developed a bit more. She’s interesting to watch.

As for Callie/Erica, it just doesn’t make sense…..unless Callie suddenly ‘discovers’ she’s bisexual. It’s already established she’d pretty hetero. If they want Erica to be a lesbian, bring in a new hot thing for her……new characters are interesting. Have her date a whole bunch of women! But don’t re-write established characters.

Unlike most posters I’m sick of the Derrick and Merridith romance. Ready for a change, why not Merridith and Sloan or some new knock out female doctor and Derrick. The show is starting to stall with the Derrick and Merridith thing, time to move on with another story line.

Callie/Hahn would be awesome. And I still think it’s possible. TV needs a main character same-sex couple. It’s been a while since there have been any. Except the L Word but that doesn’t count as it’s a ‘gay’ show.
