As a gamer, I’m approaching this bit of news with equal parts trepidation and curiosity. Ubisoft has inked a deal with ABC to develop a video game based on – you guessed it – Grey’s Anatomy. I think I’d read about this a long time ago and then pushed it out of my mind. Alas, it’s all sorts of almost ready to go.
The game, which is scheduled for a release in “early” 2009, will allow players to step into the scrubs of all the doctors at Seattle Grace and follow a brand spankin’ new storyline. Players will be expected to make “important personal and professional decisions, explore the direct relationships with each other, and perform the delicate surgeries the series is known for.”
Sounds like The Sims meets Operation, but I’m keeping an open mind.
As soon as a I get a specific release date, I’ll pass it on. In the meantime, know that it will be available for the Nintendo Wii, Nintendo DS and PC. Doesn’t look like the Xbox 360 or PS3 were interested, but if I hear otherwise, I’ll pass that along too.
