Get ready for Hairspray 2!! New Line Cinema has made a deal with the Hairspray creator to write a second movie.
No cast has been selected, and none of the stars had sequel options – but could it possibly be the same without Zac Efron, Amanda Bynes, and Nikki Blonsky?!?
The studio does hope to reunit the cast for a 2010 release and Hairpsray 2 will pick up with the Turnblad family after the resolution of the first film, which was set in 1962. Excited?

i liked the first 1 but i’m not OBSESSED with it! it’s not as good as HSM or Camp Rock! well, that’s my opinion. every1 has different opinions and ppl should respect that
I loved the first one so much but i dont think that the second one will be as good if they dont bring back the origanal cast

In Hairspray 2 will the cast return back and i can’t wait for John Travolta as Edna he is funny. In the end of the first movie when Tracy and Link kiss what happen after did they run to get Merried in the second movie please keep me in touch
so if they’re picking up where they left off in the 1st film, surely they have to have the same cast?
