“Handy Manny” Highlights the Importance of Hand Washing Especially During Flu Season

“Handy Manny” is highlighting the importance of washing hands and offers other tips to prevent the spread of germs, especially during flu season, in a new interstitial segment premiering FRIDAY, DECEMBER 11 (9:25 a.m. ET/PT) during Playhouse Disney, the learning-focused programming block for preschoolers seen daily on Disney Channel.  The interstitial will recur multiple times daily and will be available at PlayhouseDisney.com, with a link to the Center for Disease Control’s flu prevention micro-site and printable tips for parents on how to prevent and treat the flu.

"Handy Manny" is an innovative, multicultural animated series that is designed to infuse preschool viewers with an enthusiasm to take on life’s challenges and to make things work, most notably interpersonal relationships. With his raucous set of talking tools, hardworking handyman Manny Garcia (voiced by "That 70s Show’s" Wilmer Valderrama) helps his neighbors by taking on their repair projects, no matter how big or small.
