Jesse McCartney turned 22 today and Hunky Blog would like to wish him a Happy Birthday!
McCartney talked to the Detroit Free Press about working with Ludacris on his latest single "How Do You Sleep". He said, "I grew up listening to him; he was my favorite rapper … I was freaked out by how great it sounded. It was kind of surreal; a week after he recorded his part we were shooting a video together in the desert in Palmdale (California). Now the song’s in the top 15."
With this new album, Departure, McCartney said he really wanted to take things in a new direction. "I wanted the record to have a little retro hint sonically but with a my own contemporary feel — I listened to the music of Michael Jackson, Madonna and Prince a lot before we started the album. I knew I had to present myself in a fresh way so I was open to other people’s ideas and suggestions, especially since I was working with such great writers and producers."
