We’d like to wish a happy birthday to Judith Light of Ugly Betty. Judith is one of our favorite actors, whether in Ugly Betty or in other projects. Today happens to be one of those cool “rounded” birthdays, as well. I hope she doesn’t mind if I tell you that today is Judith’s 60th birthday!
Light has, since her first appearance in season 1, brought a certain “seasoning” to the show. Where Tony Plana has been a grounding force, Light has added the other end of the spectrum. Her character Claire is world-weary, with a touch of instability, yet a fierce loyalty to first her husband, then her children.
Her scenes in and out of prison with Lorraine Toussaint as Yoga were some of the funniest the show has seen (I miss that pairing).
Once again, happy birthday, Judith! And Ugly Betty writers, please try to give her a little more screen time – she’s a wonderful bright spot in hte show this season.
Happy birthday, Judith. You are wonderful. Loved you since I was a child. I also would love more screentime of Claire. She seems to be a good mother figure to Betty (not exactly a role-model) but she is good at giving advice.

I hope Silvio gives Judith/Claire the screentime she deserves. Claire is one of my favorite Ugly Betty characters too.
This is probably a very bittersweet birthday for Judith.
Last week saw the deaths of two of Judith’s former One Life To Live co-stars Phil Carey and Clint Richie. Phil and Clint played Father and Son Asa and Clint Buchanan on the show.
judith’s birthday is 6 days after mine:) though of course she is a lot older in comparison. no offence though. though i’d like to see more claire and christina screen time as well- they are so underused it’s ridiculous.

That’s funny that the episode that aired this week is Claire Meade’s birthday. XD Admittedly, it was a disappointing episode in my book, but it’s fun that they even used the same age for Claire as Judith’s (no moving it up or down). I wonder if Judith might have been laughing at this little joke or setup with the airing of this episode.
I hope Judith had a great 60th birthday!
