We have no pictures of William van der Woodsen – he hasn’t yet made an appearance on the TV show. That should give you the first clue about the old Serena’s behavior…
Serena’s father is the CEO of a multi-generational family shipping firm. He is one of four husbands that Serena’s mother has married (should again tell you something about Serena’s behavior) and left Lily when Serena was four.
I’m guessing that William doesn’t get many Father’s Day cards…
