Academy Of Motion Picture Arts And Sciences Oscar Statue Painting

The Oscar nominations were announced late last night/early this morning (depending on where you are), and Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince grabbed a very deserved nomination in the category of Achievement in Cinematography. The nominees in this category are as follows:

Achievement in Cinematography

* Avatar, Mauro Fiore
* Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Bruno Delbonnel
* The Hurt Locker, Barry Ackroyd
* Inglourious Basterds, Robert Richardson
* The White Ribbon. Christian Berger

The 82nd Academy Awards will be broadcast live Sunday, March 7th starting at 8pm EST on ABC.
