Defamer is claiming that there was a huge blow up behind-the-scenes on The View between co-hosts, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Joy Behar. Apparently, Joy had mentioned some non-View related appearances and Elisabeth didn’t like it because she felt it was too political. Joy pointed out that Elisabeth had worn a pro-John McCain t-shirt on the show and allegedly shouted the following: “If you do that again I will burn you down” and added “shut the f— up” when Elisabeth tried to reply.
So, on today’s show, they tried to do some damage control and denied that any backstage confrontation ever happened. I don’t believe it, sorry. They say that the backstage area is off-limits but what human beings are able to shut things off like that? It doesn’t make sense. Anyway, here is their explanation of all that (notice how many of these denials involving Elisabeth Hasselbeck have been taking place lately? Feels almost like it did before Rosie O’Donnell and Star Jones left the show…)
Earlier this week, Joy doubted something Elisabeth said and she took such offense asked Joy if she wanted some more “Barack Obama Kool Aid.” The audience booed. Here’s the clip:
