Hayden Panettiere stars in the NBC series “Heroes” where she plays Claire Bennet, a teenager with the abilities to heal herself from any wound.
In Volume 4 (Fugitives), the government is hunting down everyone with special abilities whether innocent or dangerous to society. But Claire decides she has had enough running and begins to help other fugitives escape.
Finally, the writers are making Hayden’s character Claire Bennet act mature, smart and brave. She was great at helping a fugitive escape capture, by her own father no less! And Hayden’s last scenes with Jack Coleman were heartbreaking. More (and a video) after the jump.
In this Monday’s episode of Heroes (episode 3.16 Building 26) Claire defies her father’s orders to live a normal life. Instead she helps Alex (guest star Justin Baldoni) escape from her own father, Noah Bennet (Jack Coleman), and secretly hides Alex in her own bedroom. Claire also tells her mom Sandra that Noah has been secretly abducting people as a government operative. Sandra throws him out of their house, as father and daughter tearfully say goodbye.
Hayden Panettiere proves again that she is a versatile actress in this episode. Hayden is so good in her scenes with Jack Coleman. In a scene where he orders her not to interfere with the government, her defiance was not out of teenage rebellion but a resolve to help those who are like her. And in the last scene where he tells her goodbye, her heartbreak brings tears to the eyes!
