Hayden Panettiere at the Wizard World

Hayden Panettiere wasn’t the guest of honor at the Wizard World 2007 this past weekend, but she definitely captured many a geek’s hearts and whistles when she appeared at a press con.

Hayden not only signed autographs, which already would have made anyone’s day, she also answered questions, and the crowd just loved her!

She even let the crowd goad her into singing, to which she rendered the first verse of ““The Star Spangled Banner.”

I wonder if she’ll ever sing on an NFL game? :-)

They especially love her as Claire, THE cheerleader, although Hayden said she did complain to Tim Kring that she’s done running around in a cheerleading costume and not cheering.

The crowd responded to this with a disappointed “awwww,” so Hayden winked, “I didn’t say I’m done with the cheerleading costume!”

When asked if there was an “off-set chemistry” between her and Milo Ventimiglia, Hayden nicely replied, “We’re all very close. We’re a family.”

If you say so. :-)

Ok, so what’s up for the next volume of Heroes?

“If the first season was ordinary people dealing with extraordinary situations. The second is extraordinary people trying to be ordinary again.”

Off-screen or on, there is nothing ordinary about Hayden.
